We’re proud to be delivering a custom weather protection walkway at the landmark Palmera Residences project for our valued client, Multiplex.

Palmera is set to become a striking new addition to the Gold Coast skyline, with the 52-level luxury residential tower taking shape in the sought-after Northcliffe precinct.

For this project, our team has designed and installed a fully enclosed pedestrian walkway using our wall cassette system, providing:

⚫ Safe, protected access for workers and site personnel
⚫ Shelter from the weather, allowing work to continue in changing conditions
⚫ A clean, professional presentation for the site perimeter
⚫ A robust temporary structure engineered to meet the demands of a major construction project

The photos showcase the scale of the installation, including the enclosed internal walkway and the external wall cassette façade that delivers both protection and functionality throughout construction.

A great effort by the Cogent team and another example of delivering innovative access and protection solutions on some of Queensland’s most significant projects.

From material handling and crane coordination through to installation and inspections, every stage of scaffold construction relies on clear communication and teamwork.

At Queens Wharf Towers 5 & 6, our crews work closely with Infinity Constructions Queensland and other trades to keep works progressing safely and efficiently.

These moments often happen behind the scenes, but they're critical to the successful delivery of large-scale projects.

Proud to see the Cogent team continuing to set the standard on site.

Cogent Scaffolding is proud to be contributing to one of Brisbane’s most significant city-shaping developments, the Waterfront Brisbane project. Located in the heart of the CBD, this landmark precinct is transforming the city’s riverfront through the delivery of world-class commercial, retail and public spaces.

As part of our involvement in the construction of the project’s tower cores, Cogent has implemented an innovative access solution designed to meet the complex demands of high-rise construction while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency and productivity.

To achieve this, our team adopted a unique approach by supporting the scaffold directly from the concrete core wall and utilising the Layher Australia Allround Lightweight (LW) system throughout the project. The flexibility and versatility of the Layher system have allowed us to develop a tailored access solution capable of adapting to the challenges of a complex high-rise environment.

A key focus of the project has been creating safer working environments for all personnel operating at height. Through the integration of Layher gap decks, lock-against lift-off technology and console brackets, Cogent has delivered continuous working platforms that minimise gaps, reduce fall risks and improve overall site safety.

The modular nature of the Layher Allround LW system has also enabled efficient installation and modification as construction progresses, ensuring access requirements can evolve alongside the build program without compromising safety or operational efficiency.

The Waterfront Brisbane Core Project showcases Cogent Scaffolding’s commitment to innovative engineering, quality workmanship and practical problem-solving. By combining our technical expertise with industry-leading Layher scaffolding systems, we continue to deliver safe, reliable and efficient access solutions on some of Queensland’s most complex construction projects.

We are proud to be playing a role in shaping Brisbane’s future skyline and contributing to a development that will redefine Brisbane’s waterfront for generations to come.

Cogent Scaffolding is proud to be working alongside Infinity Constructions Group Pty Ltd on the Queens Wharf Towers 5 & 6 development, delivering specialised form support scaffold solutions on one of Brisbane’s most significant construction projects.

As the project continues to rise, our role focuses on providing critical support to the formwork systems that shape the structure. To date, over 2,100 tonnes of scaffold has been erected across both towers, reflecting the scale and complexity of the works involved.

Form support scaffold is a highly engineered temporary structure designed to carry the loads of wet concrete, formwork systems, and construction activities until the building elements achieve sufficient strength to support themselves.

Unlike standard access scaffolding, form support requires detailed design, precise load calculations, and careful sequencing to ensure both safety and efficiency on site. It must integrate seamlessly with the formwork methodology, accommodate high load demands, and adapt as the structure progresses floor by floor.

This is one of Cogent Scaffolding’s core specialties. Our team works closely with formwork contractors, engineers, and site teams to deliver systems that are not only compliant and safe, but also practical and efficient to install, adjust, and dismantle as the project evolves.

We look forward to continuing our contribution as Towers 5 & 6 take shape and the broader Queens Wharf precinct progresses.

Cogent Scaffolding is proud to have been awarded the scaffolding labour package for the new $300 million Logan Reserve Special School project.

Right now, the site is a huge stretch of earthworks, machinery and foundations, although we’ve started the scaffold covered walkways for dry access between the work zones. Over the coming months this open space will transform into something far more important: a purpose-built learning environment that will support local students, families and the wider Logan community for generations to come.

Being part of projects like this is what our team is all about. From the ground up, we’re committed to delivering safe, reliable scaffolding solutions that help bring major community infrastructure to life.

We’re looking forward to working alongside the project team and watching this site evolve from a cleared block into a modern education facility that will make a real difference in the community.

Another great Queensland project underway, working with Hutchinson Builders.

The finish line is in sight at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Expansion.

Cogent Scaffolding is proud to be supporting this critical health infrastructure project as it reaches a major milestone — the final pour of the Level 6 roof slab is now complete, with structural top-out fast approaching.

Delivering four new floors above a fully operational emergency department is no small task. With the hospital remaining live 24/7, our team has continued to provide safe, reliable access, edge protection and containment systems while ensuring zero disruption to essential healthcare services.

When complete, the expansion will deliver 249 additional inpatient beds, including:

• 30 new ICU beds and treatment areas
• 13 cancer treatment bays
• Upgraded cardiac catheter lab admission and recovery areas

Proud to be working alongside John Holland and all project partners to help deliver infrastructure that will support Queensland communities for years to come.

NEXTDC B2 Brisbane Stage 2

Cogent Scaffolding is proud to be delivering a full access and protection solution on this project, working with Multiplex, as the primary scaffold and high soffit provider. Leveraging the versatility and engineering strength of the Layher Australia scaffolding system, our team is ensuring safe, efficient, and adaptable access throughout every stage of construction.

From the outset, the focus has been on creating a solution that not only meets site requirements but also considers the safety of workers, the public, and the surrounding environment.

Safe Access with Covered Walkways:
A key component of the project is the installation of covered walkways leading into the site. These structures provide essential overhead protection, allowing safe movement for both workers and the public while maintaining uninterrupted site access.

Designed and installed using the Layher system, these walkways combine strength, flexibility, and speed of assembly—ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Environmental Control with Layher Protect System Panels:
Understanding the impact construction can have on surrounding areas, Cogent has incorporated a wall system into the scaffold design using the "Layher Protect System" Panels. This system plays a critical role in:

◾ Superior dust and debris containment
◾ Significant noise reduction
◾ Weather protection
◾ Improved aesthetics with a clean, uniform appearance
◾ Enhanced safety by creating a solid separation between work zones and public areas
◾ Fire resistance
◾ Anti-climb measure
◾ Anti-mould

The Layher Protect System is a fully integrated, modular panel system designed to attach directly to Layher scaffolding. It provides a robust, enclosed barrier that delivers multiple benefits and unlike temporary sheeting solutions, Project Panels are rigid and reusable, offering a more durable and sustainable approach to site enclosure.

Structural Support with 4-Leg Shoring Towers:
To support critical structural elements, Cogent has implemented 4-leg shoring towers across the site. These towers are used to carry bridging beams into position, providing:

◾ Reliable load-bearing support
◾ Flexibility to adapt as the build progresses
◾ Safe and efficient installation of structural components

This ensures that all temporary works are engineered to the highest standard, maintaining stability and safety throughout the construction process.
