For this project, our client had one clear priority: ๐†๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ž๐ฑ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ง๐š๐ข๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ง ๐š ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ก, ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ง ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ง๐ž.

But there was another important consideration โ€” the design also needed to meet the shopping centre's fit-out and presentation requirements.

Securing DA approval for a property within a Heritage Conservation Area is never straightforward, especially when the proposal involves extending an existing building while preserving its historical character.

One of the biggest challenges of this project was obtaining approval for the proposed ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐-๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ซ ๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง.

During the assessment process, Council initially raised concerns about the extension, particularly its potential impact on the heritage streetscape and the historical character of the property.
