Another one bites the dust.

Chris’s father had a major bathroom leak through to the main floor, so the space was fully gutted, repaired and reframed to get things back on track fast.

Substrate cleaned and primed
Sand & Cement bed installed for appropriate falls
Brick-pattern floor installation
60×30 white ceramic wall tiles installed
Finished with grout and silicone for a clean, watertight result

Big turnaround on this one — smooth project with a great builder and an even better outcome. Ready for his father to come home to a fresh, solid bathroom.

Primed with Multiprime, then reinforced all junctions using ARDEX WJ butyl-backed waterproofing tape for movement control.

Waterproofed with ABA Rapid Plus waterproof, then screeded with proper falls —
1:80 in the shower and a graded fall through the external floor for clean drainage.
Final top tank to complete the system.

Finished in 600x600 Pompeii Travertine with brass trims and fully-mitred niche + window returns.
Set using X17
Grouted in ARDEX FG8 Mudberry.
Silicone tomorrow to wrap it up.

P9 etch-prime applied for maximum adhesion and long-term grip.

X18 chosen for its high shear strength and reliable bond on stone substrates.

Splashback tiled using 12 mm brittle travertine subways, set perfectly true off packers and timber to match final benchtop height.

Wrapped up on schedule so the benchtop team could install, the sparky could fit-off, and the clients can move in.
