Early this week we were called out to a service job after a tenant reported their garage door wasn't working properly.

When we arrived, it didn't take long to spot the problem—there was grease all through the tracks. While it might seem like a good idea, grease in the tracks actually attracts dirt and debris, creating more problems and preventing the door from operating smoothly.

After giving the tracks and wheels a thorough clean and making a few minor adjustments, the door was running like new again.

A friendly tip: If your garage door starts making noise, don't grease the tracks. It can cause more harm than good. If your door is noisy or not operating as it should, have it serviced by a professional to keep it running safely and reliably.

This job had a tight boxed recess, so we went with a Gliderol door and a Glidermatic opener. Finished it off with a tapered bottom to suit the ground and some flashings to seal it all up.

Back in Hove this afternoon to put the finishing touches on this project for Imperium Construction.

With the chippies having completed the cladding, it was time for us to put tension on the door, set the motor limits, and carry out the final adjustments to ensure everything operated smoothly.

This installation features Herculift hardware paired with the Platinum Merlin MS137 motor and safety beams, delivering a reliable, high-quality finish.

Another great project completed!

🔨 Mt Barker Summit Project – Before & After🔨

Another great transformation completed at Mt Barker Summit.

This project involved installing new posts and beams across the front of the existing structure, sheeting the facade with Blueboard, and fitting three new roller doors complete with motorised openers.

The result is a much cleaner and more secure garage frontage while maintaining access through the rear of the structure.

The Blueboard is now ready for the customer to complete the final rendered finish, which will tie it all together.

This flush mount tilt door has been fitted using Herculift hardware, paired with a Merlin MS137 opener, complete with battery backup and wireless safety beams for reliable and convenient operation.
We'll be returning to site once the cladding has been completed to add the final tension adjustment and ensure everything is operating perfectly.
A clean, modern finish that will blend seamlessly with the completed façade.

The old Gliderol motor had reached the end of its service life, so we removed it and upgraded the door with a Merlin MS105 opener.
Known for its reliability, smooth operation, and long-term performance, the Merlin MS105 is a great replacement option when older motors start to fail.
