Established in 1988, Electrical Group Training (EGT), is the biggest employer of electrical apprentices in the state, providing quality workforce support to the WA electrical industry and kickstarting rewarding electrical careers.

More Than an Apprentice | Meet Samson 👋

At just 19 years old, EGT apprentice Samson Swift is taking on a huge challenge this 3 October, 12 hours straight on a StairMaster to raise money for mental health.

Having previously completed a 100km run for mental health, Samson is no stranger to pushing his limits for a cause that means a lot to him.

His challenge is raising funds for 20talk, supporting young Australians with practical tools and skills to maintain their mental health.

🚨 Safety Alert 139 Released – Eye Safety

This alert highlights the risks associated with not wearing correct eye protection, including:

👓 Wearing the correct eye protection for the task
👓 Inspecting your safety glasses before use and replacing scratched, cracked or damaged lenses
👓 Using machine guards, screens and barriers to contain flying particles where possible

Remember your ABC – Assume nothing. Believe no-one. Check everything.

All apprentices and host employers are encouraged to read Safety Alert 139 in full and discuss it on site.
