⚠️ Is your switchboard putting your home at risk?

Your switchboard is the heart of your home's electrical system. If it's outdated, it may no longer be providing the level of protection your home and family need.

5 signs it may be time for an upgrade:

✔ Ceramic fuses instead of safety switches
✔ Your safety switch trips regularly
✔ A burning smell or signs of overheating
✔ You've recently renovated your home
✔ You've added new appliances

An outdated switchboard may struggle to keep up with the electrical demands of modern homes, increasing the risk of faults and reducing the protection available in the event of an electrical issue.

If you're unsure whether your switchboard is due for an upgrade, we're happy to inspect it and provide honest, professional advice.

Because protecting what matters most starts with a safe electrical system.

Is your switchboard protecting your home... or putting it at risk?

Many older homes still have ceramic fuses, which don’t provide the same level of protection as modern switchboards.

A switchboard upgrade with RCBOs can help protect your home and family by reducing the risk of:

✔️ Electric shock
✔️ Electrical faults
✔️ Overloads
✔️ Short circuits

If your lights are constantly tripping, your switchboard still has ceramic fuses, or you’re renovating or installing new appliances, it may be time to consider an upgrade.

Not sure what you have? We’re happy to inspect your switchboard and provide honest, obligation-free advice.

Meet the Face Behind Impala Electrical ⚡

Hi, I’m Nardo.

For those who don’t know me yet, I’m the electrician behind Impala Electrical.

Starting this business has been one of the biggest (and scariest) decisions I’ve ever made. Like many small business owners, I took a leap of faith with one goal in mind…to build something I could be proud of while providing for my family and serving our local community.

I’m someone who believes in turning up when I say I will, being honest about the work that needs to be done, and treating every home and business with the same care and respect I’d expect in my own.

When I’m not on the tools, you’ll usually find me out fishing whenever I get the chance, spending time with my family, or attempting to master golf (let’s just say I’m still a work in progress!).

One of the best parts of this job is meeting new people. I love getting to know the families, farmers and business owners who make our community what it is. It’s a privilege to be trusted to work in your homes and businesses, and it’s something I never take for granted.

To everyone who has supported Impala Electrical so far, whether you’ve booked us, recommended us to a friend, or simply liked and shared our posts, thank you. Every bit of support helps a small family business grow, and we’re incredibly grateful.

We look forward to meeting many more of you around Ayr, the Burdekin and beyond.

— Nardo, and the Impala Electrical team *(Marissa and the kids)* 💛🖤
