A recent 100m bank restoration completed by the Thrive team 🌿

The aim of this project was to help protect the bank from further erosion while also turning the area into a more presentable and natural feature within the estate.

As part of the preparation, we removed old stumps, levelled out the bank with fresh soil, and reshaped the area before installing coir blanket to help stabilise the surface. The bank was then planted out with a selection of native erosion-control species suited to the site conditions.

Over the coming months, these plants will begin to establish, bind the soil, soften the bank visually, and create a much more resilient landscape.

A fresh new build brought to life with a clean, coastal-inspired landscape 🌿

For this canal-front project, we worked closely with the client to bring his vision to life, creating a modern outdoor space with paving, structured screening plants and a soft, natural planting palette to complement the home.

The back garden, overlooking the canal, was finished with fresh white sand and hardy dune species selected to help with retention while keeping that relaxed coastal feel. One of our favourite features is the lime tree, set within a large Shapescaper ring to create a strong focal point while adding something productive and beautiful to the space.

We’re so happy with how this one came together. A modern, low-fuss garden with texture, structure and plenty of room to grow.

One of the best parts of what we do is the people we get to do it with.

Over the years, Thrive has been shaped by so many great humans who have worked alongside us, whether they’ve been part of the team for a season, a chapter, or many years.

We get to meet people who love the same industry, share knowledge, have a laugh, work hard, and enjoy some pretty incredible gardens, sites and projects along the way.

Landscaping and horticulture can be hard work, but having a team that can find the fun in the day makes all the difference.

This newly renovated home began with a simple, minimal garden layout. We enhanced the space with more than 150 additional tropical plants, building depth, texture, and a sense of lushness throughout the landscape. At Thrive Horticultural, we design, install and care for high-end residential gardens across the Gold Coast. We’re a crew of qualified horticulturalists who value good work, good people and growth.

We’re Hiring:
A Maintenance Team Leader to run regular rounds, guide an offsider and keep established gardens looking their best. You’ll also jump onto the occasional install or refresh project.

You’ll be doing:
• Garden maintenance, mowing, hedging, pruning, planting
• Coordinating daily schedules + mentoring a small team
• Client communication + quality checks
• Spotting improvements and supporting plant health

We offer:
• $30–$40+ p/hr (experience-based)
• Uniforms, PPE + quality tools
• Paid birthday leave + team BBQs
• Ongoing training + GROW sessions
• Clear progression pathways
• Supportive leadership + strong culture

You’ll thrive if you:
• Have solid horticulture/maintenance experience (Cert III valued)
