Hi All,
This August I'm taking on a 150km challenge to help The Fred Hollows Foundation restore sight to needlessly blind people around the world.

For me it is Eyes for EYEDEERs
I believe the more sight restored the more new and different perspectives we are helping bring into the conversation of a better future

So far I have completed 46% of the 150km and have raised $595 out of my goal of $1000.

Please sponsor my 150km challenge and support our efforts to give the gift of sight and change lives forever.

Your gift will make a huge difference and change people's lives forever!

Thank you

Our third and fourth principles of responsible design are: SPACE & ENVIRONMENTAL.

Ever feel like you would just like more space (no not the Elon kind) - but you think travelling there might be more likely than being able to afford it.

Truth is there are many tricks, games, tools we have as Architects that we can employ to open up a space, both physical and perceived.

Understanding the appropriate human scale of spaces and creating adaptable zones that borrow from one another is just one way we can make spaces work for you.
The other :- Environmental, is about understanding how houses can perform better throughout the seasons. Considering natural light, prevailing breezes, heat retention and loss, quality of air... just to name a few. Ensuring that a space does its best to keep running and maintenance costs at a minimum is the goal.

We approach every project by utilizing
'our 8 principles of responsible design'.

1. Orientation
2. Context
3. Space
4. Environmental
5. Functionality
6. Materiality
7. Pride of Place
8. Value

This diagram demonstrates some of the elements we are noting on a typical site visit. Covering the first 2 Principals - Orientation & Context.

By understanding the basic orientation and the elements that are on and around a site, we can begin to formulate a design that responds as best it can to its location.

Every one of our principles requires the clients feedback and opinion, as ultimately the clients priorities, likes & dislikes inform every decision we make in creating spaces, and why we take great care in getting to know our clients at the beginning of every project.
