Happy International Women's Day!

GR Engineering Services continues to recognise the importance of women in the workplace. While ensuring equity is present for all women in the company, we also ensure our offices and sites are free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

Employees across the GR Group attended events including our Perth office who went to AusIMM's International Women's Day Luncheon featuring an insightful talk from Jelena Dokic.

Putting words into practice, the Group also came together for our annual Clothing Drive. This initiative provides practical assistance to women seeking economic independence - aligning perfectly with this year’s IWD theme, ‘Give to Gain’. The theme highlights how generosity, collaboration, and community support create real opportunities for women to thrive.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) takes place every October. The aim of the BCAM is to shine a light on the devastating impact breast cancer has on thousands of Australians each day.

Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most common cancer among females.

We acknowledge the strength of those affected and remind everyone of the importance of early detection and supporting people affected by the disease and research into cures.

GRES, Mipac, Paradigm Engineers Pty Ltd and GR Production Services have once again joined forces for a good cause!

During the month of September, we collected books for the The Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation (ALNF)!

The ALNF is a national charity helping people in our most marginalised communities gain vital language, literacy and communication skills.

Across the GR Group, we collected over 700 books which doubled our impact last year!

Literacy is Freedom.

With R U OK? Day here, you’ll see a lot of posters and social media posts reminding us to ask that important question. It’s a powerful question that should not be limited to one day.

Have you ever wondered what comes after the question? Or how we make sure we’re not just asking, but truly listening?

We caught up with two of our employees from GRES, Gwen from Health and Safety and Rachelle from Recruitment, who recently participated in a 4-day Psychosocial Risk Management course hosted by FIFO Focus.

This is where the asking R U OK? becomes so much more than a single question. It’s about creating a work environment where people feel safe to speak up.

Both Gwen and Rachelle mentioned that programs like these are a vital reminder to check in with your mates. This R U OK Day, the message from both is clear. It’s about looking out for each other, every day. It’s about understanding that a simple conversation is a powerful form of early intervention.

What’s their advice?

"Just do it. You never know what is going on in another person’s life... that one conversation could make the biggest difference."

"Start a conversation with a smile and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable yourself."

"It’s not weak to speak."

NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. At the GR Group (GR Engineering Services Ltd, GR Production Services, , and Paradigm Engineers Pty Ltd), we know that reconciliation and cultural awareness doesn’t just happen, it takes commitment and deliberate action!

Recently, as part of our ongoing commitment, we brought together over 50 colleagues for an Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Workshop led by Danny Ford and facilitated by Auspire. This powerful session challenged perspectives, sparked meaningful conversations, and inspired us all to take real steps towards inclusion and respect.
