The future of MMC is being built through better systems! 🏗️

A new industry report developed by Build Skills Australia highlights the importance of smarter design, manufacturing efficiency and skilled people in advancing Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in Australia.

At ModnPods, we’re putting these principles into practice through digital design, DfMA and lean manufacturing at our 6,300m² Gold Coast facility.

Because the future of modular goes beyond offsite manufacturing. It’s about building smarter, together.

This week we welcomed the Hon Kerry Vincent, Tasmania’s Minister for Housing and Planning, and the Homes Tasmania delegation to our Gold Coast factory.

It was a great opportunity to walk through the ModnPods manufacturing process, share how we approach MMC, and have some really valuable conversations around housing delivery and the role offsite manufacturing can play.

Thanks for visiting ModnPods!

Repeatable systems. Different project outcomes.
For developers and housing providers delivering multiple dwellings, repeatability is important — but so is responding to different sites, planning requirements, climates and end users.

At ModnPods, we standardise the parts of the process that create manufacturing efficiency, while layouts, façades, materials and finishes can be adapted to suit the project.

That means repeatable manufacturing where it adds value, without locking every project into the same architectural outcome.

Planning a multi-unit or multi-site program? Let’s talk about where standardisation can create value.

Modular News, hot from our Newsroom!

Queensland needs more homes — and more ways to deliver them. Our latest blog explores how modular and offsite manufacturing can support the state’s growing housing pipeline through repeatable design, manufacturing capacity and coordinated delivery.

From social and community housing to workforce and regional accommodation, modular can create real value where scale, repetition and programme certainty matter.

Designed for modular from the beginning.

At ModnPods, we consider how a building will be manufactured, transported and installed from the very first design decisions.

The result? Smarter coordination, adaptable outcomes and a clearer path from concept to delivery.

Planning a modular project? Bring us in early.

R U OK? Day at ModnPods 💛
Yesterday, we came together for morning tea, enjoyed some delicious R U OK? cupcakes and took the opportunity to have an important conversation about checking in with the people around us.

Our Mental Health First Aider, Martin Hewitt, shared some really interesting stats, practical advice and a couple of powerful stories that touched us all.

A big thank you to Emma Rettke, Greg Webber and Matt Green from the McNab team for also sharing your thoughts and advice with us.

A meaningful morning with a very simple message: ask, listen and keep the conversation going. 💛

Greater delivery certainty starts with a more controlled way of building.

Modular manufacturing brings more of the construction process into a controlled factory environment, where design, procurement, production and quality can be coordinated before the modules arrive on site.

For developers and builders, that can mean greater visibility over programme, quality and delivery — particularly when projects need to be delivered at scale.

At ModnPods, we’re focused on creating a more connected pathway from early design through to manufacturing, transport and installation.

Certainty isn’t only about building faster. It’s about having greater confidence in how a project is delivered.

Do you have a modular project in mind? We would love to hear about it! 👌🏼

A good way to start the day — together. ☕🥐
Once a month, our ModnPods Breakfast Club brings the whole team together away from the usual pace of the office and factory.

This month gave us plenty to celebrate! Our Founder, Corporate Services Manager and Operations Manager, congratulated Alba and Scott on becoming Australian citizens 🇦🇺, and farewelled Justin after many years as part of our factory team.

We also looked ahead to an exciting upcoming McNab team meet-up — with plenty happening across the wider group.

And of course, none of the Breakfast Club happens without Ellen, our Office Manager who once again organised a pretty impressive spread for everyone. 👏

It’s a simple tradition, but an important one: good food, good conversations and a chance for our people to connect as one team.

Our New Blog is Up! Modular manufacturing starts long before a module reaches the factory. It starts at design.

Our latest blog looks at why early design involvement matters in modular projects — and how DfMA, coordinated design, engineering, procurement, transport and installation all need to work together from the beginning.

When these decisions are resolved earlier, there is greater opportunity to reduce redesign, improve repeatability and create a smoother pathway from design through to manufacturing and handover.
