From our elementary beginnings we have grown to a multinational company with more than 100 employees plus many devoted contractors. Our facilities in Armidale, NSW include over 3000m2 of factory space placed on more that 15,000m2 of land. Our recently extended office space houses our office and design staff and includes board room, training room and a colour consultancy suite. Many of our clients who have had the opportunity to visit our head office in Armidale have been awe inspired by our capabilities and facilities. We encourage and welcome you to visit at any time.

Most of the time, people do not come to us with a layout in mind. They come with a date.

A crew arriving, a contract starting, a date someone has already been given.

The building is the answer to that, and the date decides when it all has to begin.

So that is where we start.

Give us the date, and we will work through what would need to happen between now and then.

The earlier that conversation happens, the more room there is in it.

Hillgrove is a short drive from our Armidale home, and its history runs deep.

In the late 1800s it was one of the busiest mining towns in New South Wales. Today, the mine is reopening and bringing new jobs back to the New England region.

We've been busy behind the scenes building modular buildings in Hillgrove, and here's a sneak peek at how it's all coming together.

Our designers, builders and project managers look after everything in-house. It's the Uniplan way, and it means a lot more when the project is right on our doorstep.

Broken Hill is one of a kind. And like every regional town, it needs its key workers to thrive.

We've been contracted to build eight modular homes for essential workers in Broken Hill, including police, paramedics and teachers.

These are the people who answer the call, run the classrooms and keep the city moving.

Attracting them to regional Australia starts with a place to call home.

Modular construction means quality housing arrives sooner, built in a controlled factory environment without weather delays holding things up on site.

When key workers have a home they love, they settle in. They put down roots. And the whole community feels the difference.

Everyone asks how fast a build can go. The more useful question is how much of the timeline is in anyone's control.

A community housing project involves councils, funding bodies and several parties with their own timing, and no builder controls all of that.

What can change is how much of the work has to wait its turn.

Fewer stages sitting idle means fewer places for a program to slip.

A new cabin is not just the build. There is site work, services, council approvals and then the install itself.

Each of those has its own timeline, which is why the date you want the cabin open is the most useful place to start.

Give us that date and there is room to do the rest comfortably, with site works in a quieter week, approvals moving while the park is still trading, and the crane arriving on a day that suits you.

Good workers are hard to find and harder to keep, and the ones worth keeping already know your place.

The accommodation has more to do with that than most people expect.

Our worker accommodation is built to permanent dwelling standards, with real kitchens and ensuites, so what a crew arrives to in year three is what they arrived to in year one.

Tell us what your crew looks like and when you need them housed, and we will talk through what would suit.

There is a real difference between somewhere to sleep for 12 weeks and somewhere to live for a few years.

A seasonal crew needs accommodation that is clean, durable and easy to turn over between seasons.

Staff living on the farm year-round need their own kitchen and enough space to properly settle in.

That is the real split in our range.
◻️ Self contained units have their own kitchen, bathroom and living area.
◻️ Sleepers give each worker their own room, with the kitchen and laundry in a separate building.

Most farms run a combination of both.

All of it is built on our factory floor in Armidale, to the same standard either way.

What you agree on at the start of a Uniplan build is what turns up on site.

The people who draw your project are the people who build it, so decisions made at the design stage don't have to survive being passed between companies to reach the factory floor.

If something needs to change along the way, there is one team to change it with.

Design, planning, approvals, engineering, manufacture and delivery all run together.

That means fewer conversations for you, and one version of the project that everyone is working from.
