⚡ GOOD AFTERNOON TO ALL OUR NEW & VALUED CUSTOMERS! ⚡
Bailey here! 👋
I finally got back on the tools a few weeks ago after what felt like a lifetime recovering from wrist surgery. 😂
For those who don’t know what happened, I injured my wrist trying to stop a 2-tonne van from rolling into the Ute and got crushed between the 2 cars. 🤦♂️
Looking back, 80kg of Bailey never really stood a chance! But in the moment, there wasn’t much time to think I just threw the closest thing I could at it to stop it.
Turns out, the softest and closest thing was… me. 😂
George might think Dad is a superhero, but unfortunately, I don’t actually have super strength. Maybe next I’ll try jumping off the roof to see if I can fly! 😂🦸♂️ (Don’t worry I won’t be testing that theory!)
All jokes aside, we would firstly like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding and support while jobs have been pushed back and there have been delays getting back to people.
After spending four days in hospital waiting for surgery, followed by recovery, we’re still working our way through the backlog of messages, phone calls, quotes, emails and invoices.
The good news is that we’re getting very close to being back on top of everything! 🙌
Due to the large backlog of jobs, calls, messages, quotes and emails, if we have missed a message from you, or haven’t returned a missed call within a couple of days, please reach out again.
Sometimes I’ll see a message and think, “Yep, I’ll reply to that once I finish this job,” only to realise later that I never replied or worse, I typed the message and forgot to hit send! 😂 And yes, sometimes it can be a week or two before I realise.
It’s been extremely busy trying to get back into the swing of things, and unfortunately, even when I stop, the business doesn’t! 😅
A massive THANK YOU also goes to my beautiful wife ❤️ for helping keep things moving while I was recovering making calls, helping with quotes and invoices, all while juggling her limited free time from uni and running around after George.
I honestly couldn’t have kept things moving without you. ❤️
A big thank you also to Sam, who continued to show up every day and help keep jobs moving. Through the early mornings, late nights and long days, you gave 110% and helped allow me to take the recovery time I needed.
We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and continued support while we get back to normal.
Moving forward, we will also be starting to enforce our business hours for general enquiries and non-urgent work calls. This is something I need to do to make sure I can properly switch off from work and spend some much-needed time with my beautiful wife and George. ❤️
Running a small business can make it very easy to be “on the clock” 24/7, but family time is just as important, so we appreciate everyone’s understanding.
📞 General enquiries & non-urgent work:
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm
🚨 Emergency call-outs:
We are available 24/7 for urgent electrical emergencies.
If I miss your call, please leave a voicemail or send your enquiry via text and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can during business hours.
If you have an emergency and I miss your call, please leave a voicemail or send a text message explaining the issue, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
If no message is left, we may assume the call isn’t urgent and return your call during our normal business hours.
We really appreciate your understanding as we work towards finding a better balance between running the business and spending time with the people who matter most. ❤️
From our family to yours, thank you again for all of your support, patience and understanding during this time.
❤️ Thank you from the Watkins family. ⚡
