Works will soon commence on a footpath and drainage upgrade along Albert Street (between Currajong and Grano streets), helping to improve accessibility and address drainage in the area.

O’Brien Concrete will begin works from Monday 10 August 2026, with upgrades to footpaths and nature strips planned as part of the project. These improvements will enhance safety and usability for pedestrians while supporting better water management. Works are expected to run for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

Roads will remain open during the works, and local traffic will still be able to access the area. We appreciate the community’s patience while these important improvements are underway.

Council contractors will start building a new footpath in Wilson Street, Ararat from next Wednesday 11 March.

Local business O’Brien Concreting will replace the old footpath on the southern side of Wilson Street between Campbell and Baird streets with a safer 1.5m wide footpath.

The works are expected to take around three weeks to complete, so please adhere to the alternative footpath arrangements in the meantime.

Thank you in advance for your patience!
