Normally I would just use a sanding pad on a pole to sand the walls down but the bumps, nibs and rough texture left from a previous painter means I’ll use the electric sander to get it back to a nice finish 👨‍🎨

This is your daily reminder that prep is 90% of the work, the last painter to have come through on these frames 10 years ago must have missed the memo. Armed with a piece of sand paper and a fresh can of elbow grease you can really see the difference. One frame I haven’t prepped and painted yet and the other I have. The difference is all in the prep!

A common misconception is that painters tape everything up. While we do tape up under certain circumstances, majority of our finished product comes from our years of experience resulting in cutting in a hinge fast effective and clean. 👨‍🎨

When fixing a crack in solid brick walls it’s important to knock out or scrape any loose bits, and then mix half water and half bondcrete and brush into the crack ensuring it all gets wet. The product will dry hard sealing all the loose sand and dirt ensuring once filled over the filler will have a good surface to adhere to.
