A subtle detail that lets everything work together beautifully.

Rather than breaking up the deck step, a simple opening with a small corten steel ring allows the climbing plant to grow naturally through the timber and onto the pergola above. A thoughtful design decision that keeps the step as a whole while giving the plant the space it needs to thrive.

Sometimes, the best details are the ones that feel like they’ve always belonged.

With its soft yellow flowers, dense habit and long flowering season, Grevillea ’Gold Fever’ brings colour, texture and year-round interest without demanding attention. It works beautifully spilling over walls and sitting amongst rocks. The flowers attract birds and pollinators, adding another layer of life to the garden.

A lush and shady path in our East Geelong garden is packed full of jungle green plants with stunning foliage including Ligularia reniformis, Blechnum ‘Silver Lady’, Poa labillardieri, Thysanotus multiflorus and Viola hederacea.

An urban garden. Designed to create a beautiful indoor/outdoor approach to living for a growing young family. Featuring playful features such as curved walls, recycled vertical brick planters and a cosy outdoor fireplace, this garden is a gorgeous place to be basking in dappled sunlight. We can’t wait to see this garden grow!

Aireys Inlet garden, from beginning to finish.

Designed as a space for family to slow down, gather and enjoy the garden over time. A sunken fire pit sitting area, open lawn for play, productive growing area, and softly winding paths that guide the garden journey through the site.

Using natural materials was an important part of the process. Rock, timber and stone with textures that feel connected to the coast and sit naturally within the landscape. We also took great care to work with the existing native vegetation, retaining and showcasing the character and structure already present on site, making the garden feel grounded in place.

Excited to see this garden continue to evolve as new plantings grow and fills out the space.

Courtyard softening in Fairhaven. An unassuming corner space packed with goodies!

One of those plants that always draws attention in the garden. If you love banksia then this one can tolerate wetter sites. It has lovely larger leaves as well as the iconic cones we all love.
