No matter how many times you see them, the stars in Central Australia wil never cease to amaze! This pic was taken at Glen Helen Gorge, taking advantage of the very little light polution to disrupt the view of the Milky Way.

Powered camping and caravan sites are available at Discovery Parks Glen Helen as well as resort style rooms, a restaurant and a bar for your comfort.

Enjoying some of the fruits from my own garden 🌱

​I don't have time for a full garden of veggies so my focus is having fresh herbs and spices on hand. Right now I'm growing Oregano, Marjoram, Sage, Parsley, ​Basil, Thai Basil, Mint, Rosemary, Chilli, Garlic & Lemongrass plus a range of select vegetables.

A prickly situation!

Today I spotted Prickly Pear growing wild in the outskirts of Alice Springs so I reported it by emailing w**[email protected] because it is classed as a category 1, priority w**d for eradication in the Alice Springs region.

Prickly pears (Opuntia spp.), and various rope cacti (Cylindropuntia spp. and Austrocylindropuntia spp.) have been listed as Weeds of National Significance due to their invasive potential and are targeted for eradication.

We added to our food garden today and still plenty more to come.

Our whole garden is protected by 50% shade cloth available from Geoff Miers Garden Solutions.
