A nice call out this afternoon.
Bus took out a free standing switchboard. Blowing the fuse on the transformer taking out 18 homes 😳
Went there hoping I had all the gear to get them out of trouble. Didn’t realise that one of the cables was cut from shorting out on the switch board. I didn’t have a straight through lug. Turns out the customer had one in the shed.
Had to disconnect power from a private pole dig out the broken off conduis & extend the conduits. Temperly mounted the board again but the customer will concrete in a couple of poles to make it permanent

Nice little find yesterday.
Customer had a pull out clothesline installed by a tradesman. After leaving the customer went to the toilet & turned the light on & it tripped the rcd to the lights in the house.
Tradesman had screwed into the cable.

Always pay to make sure all terminals are tight.
