Our story
The business was started in 1968 by Ritz Matla under the name Southern Electrics and quickly beca

me known as a “One Stop Shop” for everything from generators, pumps, and motors right through to general electrical design and installation. The business was purchased in 2014 by Malcolm Dodson and key technical staff were retained. We are using the central location on Sanford Rd Albany as a base to expand our operations in the Great Southern region. Our Success Stories
Our success is a reflection of years of satisfied customers. Some local significant projects include;
• Upgrade and installation of switchboards and 55kVA emergency back up generator at ABC Radio Albany
• Supply and installation of Hylec lighting energy saving units to Albany Plaza Shopping Center.
• Design and installation of Pool Control switchboard Shire of Jerrimungup.
• Power, control, and data cabling for two new Car Wash units, Uber Carwash Albany Hwy. How can we help you
If you require support from an electrical installation and maintenance company that can provide reliable and structured services, with a method of delivery, from scheduling of works through to completion, that are tailored to suit your operations then you have found what you are looking for. We have a team of five, made up of four tradesmen and one Trades Assistant. Three service vehicles on the road and a comprehensive workshop based centrally to the city of Albany results in a quick response when urgent situations arise. We are big enough to have projects in multiple locations but small enough that you get a familiar face for each job and don’t have to explain your operations to a “new guy” every time we attend site.
