Our story
The business was started in 1968 by Ritz Matla under the name Southern Electrics and quickly beca
me known as a “One Stop Shop” for everything from generators, pumps, and motors right through to general electrical design and installation. The business was purchased in 2014 by Malcolm Dodson and key technical staff were retained. We are using the central location on Sanford Rd Albany as a base to expand our operations in the Great Southern region. Our Success Stories

We have a team of five, made up of four tradesmen and one Trades Assistant. Three service vehicles on the road and a comprehensive workshop based centrally to the city of Albany results in a quick response when urgent situations arise. We are big enough to have projects in multiple locations but small enough that you get a familiar face for each job and don’t have to explain your operations to a “new guy” every time we attend site.
