The incubator is locked and loaded with a mix of French Wheaten Marans/Blue Wheaten Marans, Lavender Araucana, Olive Eggers Gen 1 &2, Australorp x FWM, Cream Legbar, Bantam Saxony Duck.

In 3-4 weeks time there should be plenty of day old available and once fertility is confirmed in a weeks time, fertile eggs 🥚 🐣

I’ve finally bred the elusive pink-purple shelled egg! 🩷💜🥚

This beautiful egg was laid by an Australorp × French Wheaten Marans cross. I had a feeling this pairing might produce a pink/purple shell, and it looks like the prediction was right!

It’s always exciting to see what nature comes up with, every egg feels like a little surprise. I’ll be interested to see if she continues laying this gorgeous colour or if it changes over time. Isn't it amazing how much variety there can be in something as simple as an eggshell?

Yes this cross will be available as part of the rainbow dozen I sell.

Meet Scarlet Cambridge 🌱

A beautiful new broad bean variety that’s making its way into the garden this season with seeds being available at the end of the season in summer.

It features gorgeous scarlet purple beans paired with lovely white flowers kissed with a hint of soft pink, a real standout in the veggie patch and sure to attract plenty of attention from both gardeners and pollinators alike.

On another note, I’m currently busy updating the website with the 2026 dahlia varieties as I dig and divide the tubers.

The dahlias won’t be available until August/September, depending on the season and when the tubers begin to eye up. I’ve also had a few enquiries about pre orders. To keep things fair for everyone, I don’t offer pre orders. I prefer to wait until each tuber has a healthy, viable eye before listing it for sale, and I won’t know that until spring.

Thank you so much for your patience and enthusiasm. I can’t wait to share the new season’s dahlias with you all! 🌸

It’s that time again…. somehow the weeks have flown by and it’s been a little while since my last update.

I’ve shared a few beautiful photos of what’s currently flowering here for you all to enjoy. There’s plenty happening behind the scenes too, with seed harvesting well underway as the seasons shift, and preparations beginning for winter planting.

My seed range has been restocked at Oyster Harbour Landscape Supplies, including five varieties of garlic cloves. I also have Roja and Elephant Garlic still available on the website for those interested.
