Do you really put weights on the pieces once you glued everything down? 🤔

Yes, I really do.

So I decided to take a short video to show you the pieces on my studio bench with weights on them at the moment.

Every pressed flowers artist has their little hack, so this is mine.

And it gives me peace of mind that everything is glued down nicely, every floral element is nice and flat.
And nothing will move once you hang up your piece.

I have been so busy trying my hardest to catch up on my orders, I just haven't had the time to post on my page. Actually I keep forgetting to film my pieces. Anyways finally found a few minutes to film my next project that is sitting on my studio table.

Finally some beautiful weather here in Adelaide..its been a long cold winter.
And I am hopefully catching up with my orders.

I recently was asked if this is my job. Yes it's is and at the moment because I am trying to catch up on my orders you will find me working most days in my studio.

Each step is all done by hand and nothing can be rushed, so I have just learnt to go with the process.

I sound like a broken record 😅😅
But once everything is glued down and the frame is ready to close.

I have to clean it..which takes time..so much time.

I must confess it's my least favourite thing to do because I feel like I always miss a spot and then go back over and over to clean it again and again.
Very frustrating 😕

Ok so I spend a lot of time on my own in my studio doing exactly what the video shows mostly reconstructing or designing or gluing...
What do I think of the whole time...mmmmm not much by the audio on this reel 🤣🤣🤣

In such a faced paced world where everything seems to move so quickly some of us choose to slow down , work with our hands and create special pieces that are unrushed.
