Ammjohn’s Milan Jiranek and Brody O’Neill headed to Kalgoorlie for the 2026 Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum, held from 3–5 August.

With leaders from across the mining, exploration, investment and services sectors coming together, Diggers & Dealers provided a valuable opportunity to hear directly from industry leaders, understand emerging opportunities and challenges and connect with the people shaping the future of resources.

For Ammjohn, staying connected to the industry is an important part of how we deliver value to our clients. Understanding the challenges our clients are facing, and where the industry is heading, helps us bring greater context, insight and practical thinking to the engineering and project solutions we deliver.

A great few days in Kalgoorlie, with plenty of valuable conversations, new connections and insights to take back into the work we do with our clients.

Events like TACTIC remind us that great projects start with great conversations.

As a Silver Sponsor, it was great to connect with clients, industry partners and new faces from across regional South Australia.

Conversations like this one between our Mechanical Project Engineer, Tyson Martin, and Investigator Silver's Managing Director, Lachlan Wallace, are what make events like TACTIC so worthwhile.

A big thank you to the TACTIC team for another fantastic event. We can't wait to do it all again in 2027!

Ammjohn Solutions is proud to be supporting SAFCOL Australia on the delivery of its new purpose-built food manufacturing facility at Edinburgh Parks, South Australia.

The project represents a significant investment in South Australian food manufacturing and will support SAFCOL’s next stage of growth, including increased production capability, improved operational workflows and future expansion capacity.

Ammjohn is supporting SAFCOL as Owners Team / Project Engineering Management. Our team has helped translate SAFCOL’s operational, production, equipment and utility requirements into an integrated facility brief and Design & Construct tender package, while coordinating early-stage engineering and design interfaces across building, process-flow and services disciplines.

We have also supported package development for key equipment and utilities, including refrigeration, steam, compressed air, water treatment, wastewater and electrical systems.

The facility is being delivered on a 58,221 m² site, with a building area of approximately 25,212 m² excluding future expansion zones.

It has been an absolute pleasure working alongside Rob Jones, Adrian Ricci and the broader SAFCOL team. We appreciate the trust, collaboration and leadership shown throughout the journey so far, and look forward to continuing to support SAFCOL through contractor coordination, relocation planning and commissioning readiness as the project progresses toward mid-2027.

Congratulations to SAFCOL Australia on reaching this important milestone, and to the broader project team including Bell Architecture and Sagle Constructions.

At Ammjohn, we know that strong teams build strong projects.

Our team lunch last week was a great opportunity to catch up, share a few laughs, and strengthen the relationships that help us deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

It's these moments, alongside the hard work, that continue to build the culture we're proud of.

Yesterday, the Ammjohn team came together with Mattia’s pizzas to raise awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis. A cause that is very close to our hearts.

A big thankyou to .pizza for the amazing catering and for being a part of the day.

Thanks to the support of our team and everyone involved, we have now raised over $2,000. We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity and support shown throughout the day.

Planning for growth requires more than forecasts — it requires a clear infrastructure roadmap.

Ammjohn Solutions partnered with the Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company (APPC) to develop a long-term facility masterplan for their Robinvale, Victoria operations, supporting projected production growth through to 2050.

With strong growth expected across domestic and export markets, APPC required a clear strategy to ensure its processing, storage and logistics infrastructure could scale efficiently as production increases.

Our team delivered a data-driven masterplan grounded in real operating conditions. Through development of independent crop modelling, on-site testing and operational analysis, we validated APPC works to date around existing plant capacity, identified system constraints and developed staged upgrade pathways aligned with forecast production growth.

The masterplan provides APPC with a practical roadmap for capital investment, ensuring infrastructure upgrades are scalable, sequenced effectively and aligned with future demand.

Key outcomes include:
• Initiation of Stage 1 works, including the 2026 pistachio silo upgrade
• Defined scope and timing for the 2028 site upgrade
• Clear decision triggers for future expansion stages
• Alignment of forecast crop growth with staged infrastructure development

The result is a structured plan linking long-term production growth directly to implementable capital works.

Delivering critical infrastructure ahead of peak harvest demand.

At Robinvale, Victoria, Ammjohn Solutions partnered with Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company to deliver Stage 1 of a long-term expansion masterplan.

With the 2026 harvest expected volume significantly increasing, there needed to be a change made to the storage capacity. Immediately infrastructure was on the move to complete an expansion.

The outcome:
• Four new 500-tonne silos installed and commissioned
• 2,000+ tonnes of additional hulled pistachio storage capacity
• Delivered within approved capital budget
• Completed ahead of critical harvest deadlines

Executed within a live brownfield processing facility, the project required careful interface management, staged tie-ins, coordination of international suppliers and integration of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and controls systems — all while maintaining ongoing site operations and safety performance.

Beyond the assets delivered, the project validated procurement models, contractor performance and delivery frameworks to de-risk future expansion stages aligned with the 2050 growth roadmap.

This is what structured project controls and disciplined delivery look like in practice.

Recently Ammjohn, alongside BRS and led by Kym Williams, took part in a full day strategy workshop. The goal was to gain valuable insights to strengthen our direction, drive continuous improvement and focus on the future vision, operations and opportunities in the current climate.

We thank Kym for his efforts in helping us move forward as a unit and we are excited to keep building as a business.
