Over 100,000. That's how many native plants our team is planting around Myponga Reservoir Reserve as part of SA Water's Reservoirs for Nature program across the next few weeks.

Using more than 100 native plant species, we are helping transform previously cleared paddock areas into diverse native landscapes that provide habitat for birds, reptiles, insects and other wildlife. The established vegetation is expected to improve biodiversity value of these areas, strengthen habitat connectivity, and create more resilient ecosystems across the reservoir landscape.

We're pleased to be using tube stock grown within our LCS Nursery, as well as stock from Kersbrook Landcare Nursery, The Forktree Project Nursery and State Flora Nursery.

These activities are part of SA Water’s Reservoirs for Nature program, which connects people with nature while restoring habitats, enhancing biodiversity and offsetting carbon emissions. Working together with SA Water, we're contributing to a shared vision to create meaningful environmental benefits that last for generations.
