Making outdoor pergola a little more comfortable. ⚡

Supplied and installed two new EGLO ceiling fans in this backyard pergola, giving the space some much-needed airflow for those warmer days.

We ran new cabling, connected both fans to the existing lighting circuit and installed a new two-gang switch for individual control.

That full rewire? Just about wrapped. ⚡

Kai’s been leading this one all week, and here he is giving you a look at where it’s landed. All the new feeds are run down into the meter box, the box is cut in and installed, and everything’s tidied up neat on the inside. Pretty much finished.

This is the payoff after a big week of work: old unsafe wiring stripped right out, the whole property run in new cable, and a clean, safe meter box to finish it off. The sort of job that resets a home’s electrical safety for decades.

We replaced three pendant lights in this backyard pergola, but getting the finished result right involved a little more than simply swapping the fittings.

Around 15 metres of new cabling was installed in conduit for the external lighting, custom mounting plates were made to securely support each pendant.

Full rewire underway. Kai and Darcy on the job. ⚡

This one’s a big one. The old wiring through this property had reached the end of its life: cracking, brittle, and no longer safe to leave in the walls. So it’s all coming out, and going back in with new cable throughout.

Old cabling doesn’t last forever. Over the decades the insulation dries out, goes brittle and starts to crack, and once that protective layer breaks down you’re left with exposed conductors, a real fire and shock risk sitting inside your walls. It’s the kind of danger you can’t see until someone opens things up.

A full rewire is a big job, but it’s the difference between a home that’s safe for the long haul and one that’s quietly a hazard. The boys are working through it properly, old out, new in, done right.

Little details, big difference. ⚡

Twin arched LED mirrors wired in on this bathroom reno, and they completely lift the space. Soft backlighting around each mirror, touch controlled, with the switches and points set neatly into the tiling.

This is the kind of work that doesn’t get talked about enough. Feature lighting like this has to be planned early, wired cleanly behind the wall, and finished so the only thing you notice is the result, not the cabling. Get it right and it just looks effortless.

Pool electrical done right. ⚡💧

Water and electricity are the combination you least want to get wrong, so this is a job where the details really matter. Here’s what the boys did:

🔧 Ran the earth in from the swimming pool through to the sub board
🔧 Upgraded the sub board itself
🔧 Fitted all the isolation switches so everything around the pool can be safely isolated

Bonding and earthing around a pool isn’t optional, it’s what keeps the area safe when you’ve got power and water in the same space. Get it right and no one thinks twice about it, which is exactly the point.

Big sub mains upgrade underway. ⚡

This one’s a proper job. Here’s what’s involved:

🔧 Upgraded meter box with new sub mains
🔧 Trenched through the driveway to run the feed across to a switchboard in the shed
🔧 From that shed, running another feed out to a second shed

Multi-building setups like this take planning. You’ve got to get the cable sizing right, the trenching done properly, and each board set up to handle its load, all so power gets where it needs to go safely and reliably across the whole property.

Still in progress, but the boys have done a mad job so far. 💪 Will share the finished result once it’s wrapped.
