We’re looking for a Rural Business Development Manager to join our team and work directly with farmers across SA.

This is a hands-on rural sales role where you will spend time on-farm with customers, understand how their farm operates, what they need from their shed, and help shape the right solution from the start.

At Spanlift, we design and construct agricultural sheds and infrastructure for farmers across South Australia, supporting each project from initial planning and design through manufacturing and construction.

Based from our Adelaide office, you’ll be backed by experienced teams in Adelaide and Mount Gambier, with regular travel throughout regional South Australia. This is a full-time position with salary plus vehicle.

We’re looking for someone who understands South Australian agriculture, cares about building strong relationships and is comfortable getting out on-farm to understand our customers needs.

Bringing machinery, workshop and chemical handling into one multi-purpose shed, based in the South East.

The machinery and workshop area accommodates a header or air-seeder with an 18m clear opening, a drive-through bay to improve access for larger machinery and a vehicle storage bay to provide ample parking spots for trailers and vehicles. It also includes a fully ventilated chemical shed adjacent to the undercover chemical fill area, creating a central point for chemical storage and handling.

Designed and constructed here in South Australia, the shed was customised to suit the farmer's needs and support a more efficient farming operation.

Shed Type: Multi-Purpose Shed
Size: 54m x 24m x 7.5m
Location: South East, South Australia

Three-sided machinery sheds have been part of Australian farming for generations, and for good reason.

This 32m x 21m x 6m machinery shed in South East, South Australia was designed around simple access, practical storage and reliable weather protection.

With 8m bays, there is room to store two machines within each bay, while the 21m clear span allows a prime mover and trailer to sit neatly undercover without being too exposed to the weather.

The high-capacity guttering system directs stormwater to one end of the shed, removing the need for downpipes across the open front and keeping access clear for machinery movement.

If you are planning a machinery shed for your operation, reach out to the Spanlift team to discuss planning your shed around farming needs.

On-farm grain storage gives growers more flexibility around harvest, storage and when grain leaves the farm.

With capacity for up to 5,500 tonnes of grain when fully loaded, this 66m x 24m x 9m Grain Shed in the Mid North was designed to provide flexible bulk storage.

A large central opening along the long side creates two 21m x 24m storage bunks, each capable of holding around 1,500 tonnes and accessible by swing-away auger. A full-length 12m canopy provides a generous undercover area for loading and unloading, helping keep grain handling operations protected from the weather.

At Spanlift, we design, manufacture and construct agricultural sheds here in South Australia, customised to suit each farming operation.

If you are considering on-farm grain storage, reach out to the Spanlift team on 1300 234 321 or send us a message here to start the conversation.

Easy access is important to consider when machinery keeps getting bigger. This 44m x 27m x 7.5m drive through machinery shed on the Yorke Peninsula was designed to make movement and storage of machinery straightforward.

The 27m clearspan creates room for multiple machinery storage lanes, while four sliding doors at each gable end provide wide access from either direction. With 7m clearance beneath the doors, larger equipment can move through comfortably, with capacity for future machinery requirements built into the design.

At Spanlift, we design, manufacture and construct agricultural sheds, here in South Australia, customised to suit each a farming operation.

If you are planning a machinery shed around larger equipment, give the Spanlift team a call on 1300 234 321 or send us a message here to start the conversation.

Featuring 10.5m bays, this hay shed allows four bales to be stored across each bay. Featuring a 6m cantilevered canopy that runs the full length of the open front, providing additional weather protection while loading and unloading. All stormwater is directed to one end of the shed, keeping the open frontage clear of downpipes and maintaining easy access.

If you are planning hay storage for your farm, talk to the Spanlift team about a shed customised to suit your operation.

Location: Flinders Ranges, South Australia
Dimensions: 40m x 21m x 9m
Area: 882 m²
Bays: 10.5m

Across the Eyre Peninsula, farming operations are changing, and shed infrastructure is changing with them.

We’re seeing three key trends shaping the way farmers are planning their sheds:

1. On-farm fertiliser storage
More growers are choosing to store fertiliser on farm, giving them greater flexibility around when inputs are purchased, stored and used throughout the season.

2. Greater access for larger machinery
As machinery gets bigger, wider openings and drive-through layouts are becoming increasingly important for practical access and efficient movement around the farm.

3. Multi-purpose shed designs
Machinery storage, workshops, chemical, fertiliser and grain storage are increasingly being brought together within one shed, making better use of space and creating a layout that works across the operation.

These decisions are about more than adding storage. They’re about improving workflow, access and flexibility, while making sure the shed can continue to support the farm into the future.

We’ve taken a closer look at these trends and what they mean for shed planning across the Eyre Peninsula.

With a strong season ahead, Eyre Peninsula farmers are investing in sheds to streamline workflow, protect assets, and support future growth.

Designed primarily for machinery storage, this 48m x 21m x 7.5m shed has the flexibility to hold grain or fertiliser when required.

Full length sliding doors along one side provide direct access into every bay, making it easier to move machinery in and out without working around fixed entry points. A two sided concrete storage area provides the containment needed for bulk product when additional storage capacity is required.

When that space is no longer needed for grain or fertiliser, it can return to machinery storage or be used to suit other operational needs.

If you are considering a shed that needs to serve more than one purpose across your operation, have a chat with the Spanlift team about how the layout can work around your operation.

A great second day at the Eyre Peninsula Field Days , and we even managed to get some sunshine!

It was good to see farmers from right across the Eyre Peninsula making the trip to support the event, catch up with the community and speak with suppliers from across the industry.

On-farm storage is clearly front of mind for many farmers, with plenty of discussion around machinery, fertiliser, grain and hay sheds.

We also had plenty of interest in practical storage solutions, including Stackwell Systems - Gorilla Products Australia lockable chemical storage racks, which help keep chemicals secure and better organised on-farm.

If we missed you yesterday, come and see Charles and the Spanlift team at Site 280. Bring along your ideas, questions or future plans and have a chat about a farm shed that supports your operation.
