Weโ€™re looking for another person to join our installation team at Pioneer Water Tanks SA.

Itโ€™s hands-on, outdoor work building large rural, commercial and industrial water tanks across South Australia. One week you might be on the Yorke Peninsula, the next in the Mid North, Riverland, Kangaroo Island or Flinders Ranges.

The role is casual to start with, but there are up to full-time hours available most weeks and, for the right person, a genuine opportunity to grow with us into installation leadership, construction and operations roles.

You donโ€™t need to know how to build a Pioneer tank. Weโ€™ll teach you.

Weโ€™ll also provide the training you need, including First Aid, Working at Heights, Confined Space and White Card.

What weโ€™re really looking for is someone who is reliable, enjoys physical and practical work, works well as part of a small team and is willing to learn.

Thereโ€™s something pretty satisfying about finishing a job, standing back and seeing what youโ€™ve built. Our tanks form part of the water security and fire resilience of homes, farms, businesses and communities right across SA.

Thatโ€™s what we mean when we say Build Something Real.

If this sounds like you, take a look and apply here:

This week we're at the Pioneer Water Tanks National Conference.

Great to see Craig from Eyre Tanks, Sheds & Patios the authorised Pioneer Dealer based in Port Lincoln sharing a great case study on 4 x 500KL tanks they built for an Aboriginal Community on the far west coast of SA this year.

Pioneer is committed to helping deliver water security to regional and remote communities.

Your shed is on fire.

Your home is under threat.

The Country Fire Service volunteers are doing everything they can, but access to a reliable water supply can make all the difference when defending your property.

As another wet winter fuels grass growth across South Australia, the bushfire risk for the coming season continues to build. Now is the time to prepare, not when smoke is already on the horizon.

Unlike many other steel liner tanks, Pioneer Water Tanks are the only steel-belted liner tank independently tested by the CSIRO and Bushfire CRC. Those tests confirmed that a Pioneer tank can withstand a 30-minute bushfire fire front, with water remaining accessible during and after the fire front has passed.

That means when it's needed most, your stored water is there to help protect what matters.

Whether it's supplying your firefighting pump, supporting your bushfire plan or providing a dedicated CFS Storz outlet for firefighters, a Pioneer Water Tank is built for Australia's harshest conditions.

Don't wait until summer.

Prepare now while the ground is soft, crews are available and the rain is filling tanks.

Built Tough to Last Longer. Built to help protect what matters most.

Receiving payment by cheque is becoming a rare occurrence these days.

But when this customer recently mailed through his final payment for his new GT80 Pioneer Water Tank, he also included a handwritten note that simply read:

"NB Very satisfied with the Pioneer tank."

Sometimes just a few words say everything.

This GT80 (~80,000 litre) tank in BlueScope Steel Colorbondยฎ Pale Eucalyptยฎ was installed on a concrete pad and is now ready to provide reliable water storage for many years to come.

At Pioneer Water Tanks SA, we're incredibly proud of the quality of our tanksโ€”but we're even prouder when our customers take the time to let us know we've done a good job.

To our customer, thank you. We genuinely appreciate your support and your kind words. They mean a lot to our entire team.

Because at the end of the day, it's not just about building tanks.

It's about building confidence.

After visiting us at the South East Field Days in Lucindale, this Inman Valley customer secured one of our GT280 Pioneer Water Tanks (~280,000 litres), providing significant water storage for their property now and well into the future.

Finished in BlueScope Australia Colorbondยฎ Pale Eucalyptยฎ, the tank complements the surrounding landscape while delivering the strength and durability Pioneer is renowned for.

This installation also includes:
โœ” Brass 2" and 3" outlet fittings
โœ” CFS Storz Firefighter outlet
โœ” Water Level Indicator
โœ” Market-leading 150mm Mega Overflow

Every property is different, which is why we work with customers to configure a tank that suits their needsโ€”not just today, but for years to come.

Thinking about improving your property's water security?

Come and have a chat with the Pioneer Water Tanks SA and Eyre Tanks, Sheds & Patios team at the Eyre Peninsula Field Days in Cleve from 11โ€“13 August.

Whether you're planning a new shed, expanding your farming operation or simply looking for more reliable water storage, we'd love to help you find the right solution.

At first glance, this GT50 Pioneer Water Tank (~50,000 litres) installed at Callington looks like our standard Colorbondยฎ Classic Creamยฎ.

But look a little closer.

It's actually Colorbondยฎ Evening Hazeยฎ, carefully selected to perfectly complement the client's home and surroundings. It's a subtle differenceโ€”but it's these details that make a Pioneer installation feel like it truly belongs on your property.

You can check out our full range of tank colours here: https://pioneertanks.com/tank-info/colorbond-steel

Even more rewarding is that this isn't our first tank here.

Back in 2023, we installed a GT90 (~90,000 litres) for this customer. As the property's water demands have grown, the owners came straight back to Pioneer for their next stage of water infrastructure.

There's no better endorsement than a returning customer.

Whether you're looking for a standard colour or want your tank to blend seamlessly with your home, Pioneer Water Tanks can be customised to suit your property without compromising on the engineering and durability we're known for.

Built Tough to Last Longer. Designed to belong.

Russell, in South Australia's Mid North, recently took delivery of his GT110 Pioneer Water Tank in Colorbondยฎ Woodland Grey.

Having spent many years working with National Parks, Russell knows what Australia's harsh conditions can do to infrastructure. After shopping around, he recognised the superior engineering, durability and build quality that Pioneer Water Tanks is known for and combined with our personalised local service, the choice became an easy one.

This installation includes:
โœ”๏ธ All-metal fittings for maximum durability
โœ”๏ธ Level Indicator
โœ”๏ธ Smart Water Savers โ€“ because let's face it, who wants another gutter to clean?
โœ”๏ธ 50mm brass mains water inlet
โœ”๏ธ Roof-mounted splash box maintaining the required SA Water air gap for compliant mains water top-up

Whether it's drought, day-to-day household water use, or preparing for whatever nature throws your way, Russell now has the confidence that comes with reliable water storage built to last for decades.

Just because you don't live on a farm doesn't mean you can't enjoy the superior engineering, durability, and peace of mind that comes with owning one of the many smaller options from Pioneer Water Tanks.

As new developments place greater emphasis on environmental responsibility and fire preparedness, many homeowners are installing modest rainwater storage systems. This family in Concordia decided to go a step furtherโ€”expanding their commitment from the minimum requirement of 3,000 litres to an impressive 20,000 litres of water security on site.

Finished in timeless Colorbondยฎ Surfmist, this installation features a CFS 65mm Storz outlet, our market-leading 150mm Mega Overflow system, premium fittings, and the strength that has made Pioneer Australia's trusted name in large-scale water storage.

Whether it's a rural property, lifestyle block, or suburban backyard, we build every tank with the same philosophy: stronger, tougher, and designed to last longer.
