There have been some mind blowingly difficult days since August. This was one of them, 2 week ago…the final day for Anatoly Patrick Architcture and a reluctant farewell to our studio loft in the McLaren Vale Main St. Here are a few final pictures featuring Moppet 2 aka who was the ultra capable ‘IT guy’ for our business.
My thanks to our strong, beautiful staff Kiana Khalili and Daneile Hatji , who although devastated themselves, helped me every step of the way after Anatoly’s sudden death, wrapping up 40 projects, doing our best by our clients to finalise their projects in a responsible way.
Also profound thanks to the SA chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, and the Association of Consulting Architects for sending one of Adelaide’s best - Ian H**e who was a tower of strength and expertise along with John Held in the background. Also gratitude to Marcus Syvertsen at Little Road Studio , James at James Turner Construction , Darren at GT Building Group , Sean Ryan at FBR Law, Tim Donlan Lawyers, Stephen Simpson, Tatiana Patrick, Rami Tabet, Gavin Kain, Mariie Fane for coming over from NZ twice!, Martin Howells, Grant Croft at Lonsdale Accounting and Bookkeeping Service, Hope Lovelock Deane of Harvest Studio and the many friends, family, fellow business owners, others in the McLaren Vale region, and the Willunga Waldorf and Galilee Catholic Schools who’ve given us an avalanche of baking, meals, treats, care packages, gifts, flowers, practical help, comfort and love over the past 11 weeks.
Thanks to the clients who settled their business with us promptly, shared their admiration for Anatoly, paid tribute to his work, took the trouble to be at his memorial service, sent beautiful gifts- flowers, plants, candles, and offers of help, and who’ve invited us to visit their completed projects.
Big love to our architectural family - Anatoly’s numerous past colleagues in Australia and abroad who got in touch to tell me of their deep regard and affection for Anatoly, and have offered help, advice and companionship.
I have been overwhelmed by your support - we’ll never forget it. Merenia x
