Dangerous Switchboard Fault! 🔥🔥🔥

Attended a customers home after reports of crackling sounds and burning smell coming from their old switchboard. Found a ceramic fuse had failed and was causing a hot spot!

It wouldn’t have been long before this resulted in fire.

We found the fault, made it safe then returned to upgrade the switchboard with a brand new unit with modern circuit protection.

Now our client can sleep easy knowing they are protected and compliant!

Elite pergola upgrade!

We were able to coordinate with the pergola installer to get cables in neatly for a premium finish! Downlights in the ridge and 2x remote control fans. No cabling visible!

Are your smoke alarms compliant and working correctly?

In almost all situations, smoke alarms must be less than 10 years old, hard wired 240V or 10 year sealed lithium battery type.

The ‘less than 10 years old’ rule applies from date of manufacture, NOT when it was installed.

Smoke alarms should be installed in close proximity to sleeping areas and for new builds and extensions they must be ‘interconnected’ (if one goes off, all the others go off too!).

Most smoke alarms have the date of manufacture printed on the label.

If you own a rental property - smoke alarm compliance is law under the Residential Tenancies Act 1995. Don’t get caught out!
