Not sure what to send with a wardrobe enquiry? A few clear photos and an approximate wall-to-wall measurement are enough to get started.

Show the wardrobe opening or wall and include some of the surrounding room. If there’s already a wardrobe, an inside photo can help too.

Add your suburb or postcode and a short description of the project. It also helps to say whether the enquiry is for a new home, renovation or repair work, and what you want to change about the space.

You don’t need to prepare a full set of technical measurements just to describe the job.

This McLaren Vale walk-in already had its top shelving in place.
Paul raised the existing top shelves, added two drawer-and-shelving units, a bottom base and four extra-large drawers at the bottom.
A simple upgrade, but a big change to how the walk-in works day to day.

This Windsor Gardens walk-in had hanging rails on both sides, but a lot of the space underneath was still unused.

The new fit-out adds drawer banks, open shelving and hanging storage along both sides of the room, while leaving the passage through the middle clear.

That is the part worth noticing in this project: more storage on both walls without losing the way through the walk-in.

An ordinary room can become a walk-in wardrobe even when there is already a large island in the middle of the space.

For this Seaford Heights project, the fitted storage was planned around the existing island, using the surrounding walls for drawers, open shelving and hanging space. Sliding doors were then installed on running tracks to cover the wardrobe sections and make better use of the available room.

The original installation included building the end panels, fitting the cabinetry, putting down the running tracks and installing the doors.

The before and after views show the change clearly: the island stays in place while the room around it becomes a fitted walk-in wardrobe.

A much better use of the same wardrobe space.

This walk-in wardrobe in Salisbury started with basic hanging rails and limited storage. We added drawers, shelving, a shoe shelf and more hanging space to make better use of the existing wardrobe.

Wardrobe renovation in Gilles Plains, Adelaide.
