A new frontier for speedway sidecar racing...

Being invited to help develop a new style of fork that uses a MTB for the suspension duties on Justins team no.47 bike is an awesome opportunity for us, fitting up BYB'S data acquisition system will give us a unique understanding and insight to what is happening out on the track, no guessing just data to work with.

We also changed the front shock to the Fox DHX2 and fitted up the best spring in the business spring, quality that you can rely on. The DHX2 will give us all the adjustments we need and worse case we can do some custom tuning.

Big thanks for the whole team Justin, Brian and Jamie for giving me this opportunity to come in and help setup the new front end, the bike already seems to be more settled on the corners so we are going to chase that up and see if we can make some improvements there!

There's still more on the table so stay "tuned".

Its been such a treat to work with the Simpson family.

Recently tuning Ryan's bike in for flat out track speed, the efficent use of rider inputs and out right confidence building performance.

Stacey’s tune day was all about building a comfortable platform, which enables Stacey’s to ride with a lot more confidence and enjoyment. We definitely achieved that.

Now it's Mike's turn, the brand new Vala, an incredibly capable bike with all the good gear on it, being able to dial that in for Mike is going to an awesome day out.

Just imagine having bikes setup so well they exceed expectations, that family time just got so much more fun all round.

How far down the rabbit hole can we go? 🐇📊

Rhys is all set up with the BYB data acquisition system and ready to go tomorrow.

This is about ongoing fine tuning — looking at the small details, finding solutions to the limitations we come across with factory suspension setups, and making small adjustments to see what difference they actually make.

Sometimes it’s not about making big changes.

It’s about chasing those small percentages and seeing just how far we can refine the ride quality.

Test. Analyse. Adjust. Repeat.

Ryan's bike is already feeling pretty good... but feel only tells you so much.

Tomorrow at Fox Creek we'll use data acquisition to make sure the front and rear suspension are working together and that we're in the right part of the spring.
