ADELAIDE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE – ARENA SPORTS LIGHTING UPGRADE!

Another fantastic project completed by the team at BCE & CJ Electrical, delivering a major Arena Broadcast Sports Lighting upgrade at the iconic Adelaide Entertainment Centre!
Working alongside Lightlogix, our team carried out the removal of the existing arena lighting and installation of new Thorn Altis Gen 5 Arena Broadcast LED Sports Lighting, mounted high above the arena on the existing catwalk infrastructure.
The new lighting system incorporates DMX lighting control and has been designed to deliver an impressive 2,000 lux average illumination, meeting the demanding broadcast lighting requirements for national basketball and netball matches, while also providing greater flexibility for the many other events held at the venue.
⚡ One of the biggest challenges was delivering the project within strict timeframes, working closely with the Adelaide Entertainment Centre team to coordinate our works around scheduled events, venue setups and pack-downs, all while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
A great team effort and an outstanding result that will enhance the experience for players, spectators and television audiences, supporting major sporting and entertainment events here in South Australia!

⚽ PROJECT COMPLETE | Campbelltown City Soccer Club Sports Lighting Upgrade
BCE & CJ Electrical is pleased to have completed another major sports lighting project for the City of Campbelltown, upgrading the soccer pitch lighting at Campbelltown City Soccer Club.
Delivered as a Design & Construct (D&C) project, we worked closely with Sports Lighting SA, Hayman Industries and WGA to ensure all aspects of the lighting design, structural engineering and electrical infrastructure met the required performance and engineering standards.
The completed installation includes:
• 2 main playing pitches illuminated to 250 lux
• 5 training pitches illuminated to 100 lux
• 14 × 22m light columns
• 48 × Philips OptiVision BVP528 LED sports lighting fittings
• Dynalite DALI lighting control system
A significant part of this project was also delivered by our newly established in-house civil business, BC Excavation & Drilling, completing the underground directional drilling, excavation and light column foundation works.
The project was delivered within a very tight construction programme, with completion required prior to the commencement of the soccer season. A huge thank you to our dedicated BCE & CJ Electrical and BC Excavation & Drilling teams, along with our subcontractor AGL & Son Cranes, for the hard work and commitment required to deliver the project on time.
A great result and another quality sports lighting project that will provide long-term benefits for the club, its players and the wider community. ⚽💡

🏑 Project Complete – Port Adelaide Hockey Club Sports Lighting Upgrade 💡
BCE & CJ Electrical is proud to have recently completed another high-quality sports lighting project at Port Adelaide Hockey Club for the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council.
This project included:
⚡ New 200A meter board upgrade with a new sports lighting distribution boards
⚡ Reconnection of the existing electrical infrastructure
⚡ New underground electrical infrastructure, directional drilled around the perimeter of the playing field to minimise disruption
⚡ Disconnection, removal of old sports lighting infrastructure
⚡ Installation of new 27-metre light towers with squat footings
⚡ Installation of 28 Philips Optivision LED sports lighting fittings, delivering 500 lux for competition hockey
⚡ Dynalite DALI lighting control system for flexible and efficient operation
A fantastic project delivered safely, on schedule, and with minimal disruption, ensuring there was no impact to the club's operations or playing schedule.

We specialise in large-scale project lighting, government service, and maintenance contracts across South Australia. This role offers long-term security in a friendly, flexible working environment with opportunities to work on high-profile projects.
About the Role
1. Casual Contract
2. Opportunity to go Full Time, with Van and Phone
3. $55-$60 per hour (depending on experience & knowledge)
4. Opportunity to become a long term employee and grow into a management role
5. Variety of work across project lighting, government maintenance, and electrical infrastructure projects
What We’re Looking For
1. Licensed A-Class Electrician (essential)
2. Proven experience in project lighting installations and government service/maintenance contracts
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding & repairs
4. Experience with the Simpro job management system (preferred but not essential)
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. High attention to safety, quality, and client service
