Woolcock Construction is proud to be the chosen builder of the new MoPA: Museum of Play and Art which will be located at Adelaide Airport. We will be working alongside property developer Accord in conjunction with Adelaide Airport Limited to bring the museum to life. It will be the first of its kind in South Australia, providing interactive play based learning experiences and exhibits for children aged 1-7. Construction will be commencing in the near future with the museum expected to open in 2026.

We would like to take a moment to honour Les Pearce as he makes the transition into retirement. Les has been a long-standing Site Manager at Woolcock Construction for the past 19 years, beginning with us back in 2006. Les has overseen some major projects such as Jayco Adelaide, Cochrane's Transport, Devonport Apartments, Australian Tyre Traders, and SEIMA. Les also supervised construction of the SUHO 10 Star house which went on to win both a state Master Builders SA and national Master Builders Australia Building Excellence Award.

Thank you Les for the years you have put in, we greatly appreciate you as a person and your contribution to the company. Wishing you all the best in your retirement! 👏👏👏

Woolcock Construction has been awarded the contract for the next stage of works at Edinburgh Central. After the successful completion of early works and the construction of Retail Building A, we are now moving onto the construction of Buildings D & E. Both buildings will contain a combined total of 13 industrial units with ancillary offices, carparking, and landscaping. The units are now available for lease and range in size from 400m2 to 1070m2. We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our latest project in Hendon, delivered for our valued client, Accord Property.
The development contains two light industry buildings, providing a total combined warehouse space of 2,923m2. Building 2 contains plenty of office space, a passenger lift, evaporative air-conditioning and a freshly sealed epoxy floor finish.
Burlington stone beige wall tiles together with Maximo Black floor tiles provides a modern finish in the bathrooms.
This newly constructed development will be the new home for PINZ who are a leading manufacture of domestic and commercial blind and shade products.

Our next project is underway after recently signing a Design and Construct contract with new client Caziopia Pty Ltd. The project scope includes construction of a building containing 4 x light industry tenancies with ancillary mezzanine/offices, two pylon signs, landscaping, associated parking and fencing. This follows on from the previous stage of demolition and early works which was also managed by Woolcock Construction.

We are proud to present another completed project at 5B Peachey Road, Edinburgh North. We worked closely in conjunction with the client on this project who utilised their skills and experience to jointly oversee the project.

This building contains 8 office/warehouse tenancies with exterior carparking and landscaping. The warehouses constructed from precast panel range in size from 202.6m2 to 326m2. Thank you to all of the clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants who have supported Woolcock Construction throughout the past year. We wouldn't be where we are without your contribution. Thank you also to all of our wonderful staff for the hard work and dedication you have put in.

We would like to take a moment to honour the great man who founded the Woolcock Group enterprise, Mr Richard Woolcock. Richard started the company in 1982 which was originally known as Woolcock Engineering and had only a couple of staff members. Over the years that Richard oversaw the company, it grew into a group of companies in various streams including construction, property, and winery operations. Richard built a culture of generosity, kindness, and loyalty that made staff feel valued with many keeping a long tenure. He also showed loyalty to many subcontractors and consultants, some of which have worked alongside the business for decades.

Richard was a hardworking man who loved to be around his fellow employees, continuing to come into the office well past retirement age and into his 80s. He would say hello to everyone as he walked past and frequently cracked a joke. When his fruit trees were in season, he often brought in a box of freshly picked fruit to share.

Richard went out of his way to impart his invaluable knowledge to younger employees to help them get a good head start in life. He also generously offered up his farm to staff who wanted to get away for a bit of quiet time.

A notable man who will be missed by many. Rest in peace Richard.
