These Viburnums had been left to grow for quite some time, becoming extremely leggy and eventually blocking much of the natural light from the client’s windows.

While a cutback this hard can look a little drastic at first, sometimes it’s exactly what an overgrown hedge needs.

By bringing them right back, we can now encourage fresh, denser growth and begin shaping them back into the hedge they once were. Moving forward, they’ll be maintained around fence height keeping them tidy, manageable and allowing plenty of natural light back into the home.

A bird’s-eye view of a client’s new property and there’s plenty of work ahead on this one! 🌿

The garden has been completely taken over by morning glory, smothering much of the existing planting underneath. Lantana has also established throughout the property, adding another invasive species that will need to be brought under control.

Our first priority will be clearing the invasive growth and getting the garden back to a manageable starting point.

It’s a big job, but also a great opportunity to completely transform this garden and uncover its full potential.

Last week we had the pleasure of helping a client divide and repot their beautiful bromeliad collection, giving each plant the space it needs to thrive.

These palms had been left untouched for years and had become far too dense, pushing against the fence and retaining wall while blocking valuable natural light into the pool area.

With a careful reduction and thinning, we’ve opened the canopy to improve light pe*******on and airflow, helping these palms stay healthier while creating a brighter, more usable outdoor space.

In total, we removed over 700kg of green waste from this job.

6 weeks ago we completed stage one of this project, and yesterday we were back to finish it off with the final planting.

It’s been great to see this space come together, and we can’t wait to watch it grow into a beautiful Australian native garden.

These clients had recently moved into their new property and wanted to make this area more usable again. The path had become overgrown and difficult to access, so we cleared it back and helped make the space feel more inviting for the whole family.
