We made history at the 2026 Design Australia awards! 🏆️

SolShare took out the two highest honours – the Australian Good Design Award of the Year and the Good Design Award for Sustainability. It’s the first time in the awards’ 68-year history that both have gone to the same project, chosen from more than 1,000 entries from Australia and overseas.

Millions of Australians living in apartments have been left out of rooftop solar – we didn’t think that was fair, so we built SolShare. Today, SolShare has connected more than 13,000 apartments to shared rooftop solar.

So this one’s shared. 🤝 With our product and commercial teams, our partners at Dev, the development and manufacturing partners who build it with us right here in Australia, the installers on the ground, and the residents and strata committees who championed getting their buildings to a 'yes' vote.

A few faces from our stand at OCN Strata Matters last Friday!

It was the first time the Owners Corporation Network (OCN) has brought its national strata conference to Victoria, and we spent the day at Melbourne Town Hall chatting with apartment owners, committee members and others working in strata.

For us, being there matters. Strata reform and the move to clean energy go hand in hand, and the more time we spend with owners and committees, the better we understand what they're dealing with – and how we can help them bring solar to their buildings.

Thanks to OCN for having us, and to Liz, Sienna, and Dan for representing Allume on the day.

Even more Victorian apartment buildings can now access up to $2,800 per apartment to go solar. ☀️

Solar Victoria recently expanded the eligibility criteria for the Solar for Apartments program, unlocking clean and affordable energy for thousands more people across the state.

→ What's changed? The $950k property value cap has been removed, and buildings with over 50 units can now apply.

We recently joined Solar Victoria and Jaclyn Symes MP in South Melbourne, where residents like Graeme are already sharing rooftop solar with SolShare in their building. It was great to hear firsthand about Graeme's positive experience with the grant process, their solar installer 1KOMMA5 Australia and working with our team to get the project up and running.
