While we aim to create beautiful, unique, personalised environments, we also urge for functional and sustainable areas that provide a perfect place to include a learning and nourishing experience for all. There has been a shift in trend and Australians are now highly valuing the natural beauty of the landscape, along with spaces that are promoting a greater quality of life.

Getting some fruit trees ready to be moved and find some egg sacs of the Bird-Dropping Spider, native to Australia. They are so named, as the adults look like bird droppings on a branch.

These spiders are non aggressive, much prefer to hide, and are not considered dangerous or medically significant if you do accidentally get bitten.
Their diet is mainly catching and eating moths.

A client we worked for before, now in a new house. You've also seen her new next door neighbours, whom we are completing a whole property redesign for.
They saw our work here and loved it.
It's so satisfying when you can keep some existing plants, or use some mature sized plants, so it gives an instant feeling, and the tubestock or 6 inch pots takes 6-48 months to really see, and evoke the desired feeling.

We're seeking our next clients, reach out if you need some help with your property. We're well priced, experienced and reliable, with a wide range of offerings that can be tailored to your needs.

The benefit of working in a small town, the compost got delivered from Numurkah Home Timber & Hardware, straight into the garden.

It is a wet one this week and we needed them to give us a hand after our donation from Kris Lee Earthworks had turned to mud and become unreachable in the torrent of rain, though we luckily managed to still get our logs from the lovely Ash.
Please do support their business if you get a chance, they're wonderful people who have always been so helpful and friendly, with a wide range of products.

Our rocks were brought up from Melbourne last week, look forward to some updated pictures tomorrow of the renovated Kinder garden.

Looking forward to starting a garden at Kayden's kindergarten next week.
We're separating it into two stages, to allow the 3 & 4 year olds to explore the new logs and rocks, before we add plants in.
Make it a yes space while they're excited, before we make it a yes, but carefully space.
They'll also be starting to feed the worms weekly so once we get plants, they can then feed them with the worm juice, and learn a bit more about life cycle and decomposition, then creating or feeding other life.

First one, then both. Garden design can get a bit hectic at home, stationary warm laps are a target 😅🌿💚

A before and after of a job we completed in Warranwood.
A tidy up and mulch in preparation for sale that looked so good, we've also been asked to redesign and landscape their new property too.

We harvested some sweet potatoes today, they'd significantly pushed up the ground around them. I like to carefully harvest the larger ones, leaving the smaller ones there.
This obviously allows them to grow bigger, and when the frost kills off the leaves, the plant has a reserve and will start sprouting again when the weather warms back up.
Less effort, happier plant, larger harvest = happier gardeners :)

Also remember you can eat your sweet potato leaves, lightly cooked. It's a fantastic producer of greens, fast growing and extremely reliable.

We planted this Wampee (Clausena lansium) in Ringwood many years ago as part of an edible garden, utilising many evergreen fruiting trees, many of which aren't commonly grown in Victoria.
I made the fantastic discovery today of it's first fruit.
Gladly shared with the garden owner, we were pleasantly surprised at its flavour.
