On Maldivian Mermaid's island in Baa Atoll the sun does two jobs. It grows the crops, and since 2023 it has been working on the roofs above them: 253 kWp of solar with 430 kWh of battery storage, and another 150 kWp added this year. Congratulations on farming with solar!

Blue panels in a blue lagoon. When we first installed SolarSea®, we wondered how guests would feel about it. The feedback has been mainly curiosity and fascination. And there's the quiet — solar makes no sound and no smell, unlike a diesel powerhouse running day and night.

About a year to plan, and over a year to install — all while the resort kept running with virtually no guest disruption.

SolarSea® at TAJ Exotica Maldives, working alongside rooftop solar and battery storage. On many days it lets the resort run for hours with the diesel generators switched off. The thing people often notice first isn't the savings — it's the quiet.
