Public space is designed twice. Once on paper, and again by the thousands of people who use it every day.
High-footfall environments demand a different order of planning. Species selection built for constant exposure, soil volumes that support long-term tree health, irrigation designed around real conditions rather than ideal ones, and maintenance regimes planned before the first plant goes in the ground.
That is the difference between a landscape that looks good at handover and one that still performs years later.
