The Creative District by RMJM reimagines the workplace as an architectural and urban experience.

Located within Cairo Festival City and designed for Al-Futtaim, the project is conceived as a connected low-rise district where architecture, landscape, retail, and public life merge into a vibrant environment for creativity and collaboration.

Through layered façades, shaded pedestrian routes, landscaped courtyards, and activated public spaces, the development creates a human-scale urban fabric that encourages interaction and movement throughout the site.

Rather than a conventional office complex, the Creative District becomes a contemporary destination - balancing flexibility, functionality, and placemaking through architecture.

Set within the rugged landscape of Masfout, the Masfout Mountain Retreat by RMJM explores how architecture can engage with nature through a landscape-led and experience-driven approach.

Spanning more than 840,000 sqm in Ajman, the development brings together a boutique hospitality offering, branded villas, wellness facilities, leisure components and farmhouses within a masterplan designed to preserve and celebrate the character of the mountain terrain.

Rather than competing with the landscape, the architectural vision responds to the site’s topography, climate and natural rhythm - creating a destination centred around wellbeing, retreat and connection to place.

The project reflects RMJM’s continued focus on context-sensitive hospitality and destination design across the region.

The Woodhorn Museum is a compelling example of how architecture can transform historic infrastructure into a new cultural destination.

Originally a coal mining complex, the site has been carefully adapted into a museum and public space while preserving the identity and atmosphere of its industrial past. Existing structures, materials, and spatial qualities remain central to the experience, creating a strong connection between history, architecture, and community.

Projects like this demonstrate the enduring value of adaptive reuse - where heritage becomes an active part of contemporary life rather than a relic of the past.

For the interior spaces of the Dubai South Mall, RMJM developed a design language focused on warmth, clarity, and everyday social interaction -creating environments that move beyond retail and become part of the community experience.

Natural textures, soft neutral palettes, integrated planting, and carefully layered lighting were used to create a calm and contemporary atmosphere across the public areas, F&B spaces, circulation zones, and shared amenities. The design balances openness and intimacy, allowing the mall to function not only as a commercial destination, but as a social and lifestyle hub for Dubai South’s growing residential community.

From the hospitality-inspired café environment to the refined arrival and lift lobby experiences, the interiors were conceived to bring a human scale to a large mixed-use development - combining functionality, comfort, and spatial identity.

Mahall Ankara | Ankara, Türkiye

Mahall Ankara demonstrates how a carefully considered façade can define the character and performance of a building.

A system of vertical fins works alongside the glass envelope to provide shading, reduce solar gain and introduce depth to the towers. This layered approach softens the overall scale while creating a dynamic visual effect that changes throughout the day.

The two towers are shaped around a central void, allowing natural light to reach deeper into the building and establishing a strong architectural identity.

Balanced, precise and responsive, the project reflects RMJM’s commitment to design that is both elegant and purposeful.

Hills Park | Dubai Hills Estate

Developed with Emaar and located within Dubai Hills Estate - often called the green heart of Dubai - Hills Park is designed around one core idea: living well goes beyond the unit.

Two contemporary towers rise above a landscaped podium, where pools, shaded lounges, and social spaces create a layered lifestyle experience - from quiet retreat to active community.

Clean façade lines, generous glazing, and private balconies frame curated views while maintaining comfort and privacy - a careful balance between openness and enclosure.

This is urban living, redefined through light, landscape, and community.

Another update from our site supervision team.

On Site | Cello & Terrazzo by Taraf Holding

Momentum on site. Structure rising, systems coming together, and design intent starting to read clearly in built form.

This is where architecture is tested - and refined. More updates to come.
