Designing a data center goes far beyond accomodating servers.

Every architectural decisions — from planning and circulation to façade design, security, and future expansion — directly impacts performance, resilience and operational efficiency.

In this conversation, Rashiq discussed the architectural principles that matter most when designing mission-critical infrastructure.

Watch the conversation.

Every site holds a story before the first line is drawn.

Some of the best design ideas don't begin at the drawing board—they begin on site. Walking through forgotten structures, studying materials, understanding proportions, and observing how light, landscape and history come together often reveals possibilities that no brief can fully describe.

At RqMA, every visit is an opportunity to listen before designing.

Because meaningful architecture doesn't impose itself on a place—it responds to it.

For the University of Sharjah, the Men's and Women's Dining Halls were developed with different design languages, while sharing the same intent — to create environments that foster interaction and community.

Different identities. Shared purpose.

Educational spaces are increasingly expected to support activities beyond their primary function.

For the Women's Dining Hall at the University of Sharjah, the design approach focused on creating a variety of environments — from open dining areas to quieter seating zones and informal gathering spaces — supporting different patterns of interaction throughout the day.

Thoughtfully designed spaces contribute not only to comfort, but also to a stronger sense of community and belonging.

A dining hall is rarely just about dining.

Within a university campus, these spaces often become places for interaction, collaboration, and community - extending beyond their primary function.

For the University of Sharjah, the design intent was to create environments that support these everyday experiences and contribute to a stronger sense of belonging.
