With a total of 5 mini-originals in the Reef series, these pieces were inspired by a diving adventure in the , Australia. The use of my signature blues, aqua and turquoise with hints of gold and copper represent the small frames of the underwater world captured in photographs while snorkeling amongst this natural wonder.

Blending into my art - Am trying out my chameleon skills. Can you see me? haha. Working away on a commission. I started off with my usual blues, swirling away, creating flow and movement, but my customers request was to add a pop of color (referencing the Bold Curves collection) but to keep it light and bright.. So small pops of pink & yellow were added to compliment the blue, followed by layers and layers of white paint.

I'd like to continue sharing not only my art, but the abundance of things which inspire me, creatively, physically & emotionally. Its from those things which inspire me, that I am able to create.

These images are from one of the few trips we've done to . The first aerial image (courtesy of the absolutely gorgeous - not my own, thank you) gives a better representation of the contrast between the sandy rocky hillside and the ocean cove (unfortunately my photography skills in the proceeding images weren't able to accurately capture what I was seeing, hehe) These are the types of scenes that inspire works such as my latest 'Oasis Minis'.

For anyone who's never been, I'd highly recommend visiting Oman. Its a beautiful country with lovely people, culture and history. Lucky for us it's close and a great place to get away for a little stay-cation.

Ohh hey there pretty picture.
This is Limah, named after an amazing location we hiked through in Oman.. We started off in a little fishing village that had crystal clear waters that simmered light all over the cliff side. I'll share some of the hiking snaps soon!

Antalya, from the limited Blue Waters Collection.

Alcohol Ink on Yupo with custom mat board

Artwork Size: 28cm x 35cm

Literally just got this baby uploaded and its already been snapped up by one lucky girl and will be out for delivery shortly.

This piece named Antalya was inspired by one of the most beautiful coastal drives along the Antalya-Fethiye highway in the south of Turkey. On the drive between Ölüdeniz and Kaz, with endless coastline, there are many intermittent rocky beaches which have beautiful iridescent turquoise waters.
These rocky beaches seem to appear out of nowhere from the deep dark Mediterranean water, all of a sudden there is visibility to the rocks and sea life below.

Coming to Melbourne! It's been a hectic start the year to say the least. Haven't picked up a brush since I started on 2 commision pieces in late 2019 to take home in March. Well I'm now unwrapping 2 more fresh canvases to add to the order to bring home. Need to paint, observe, wait, paint some more, tweak, varnish, have the professionals unframe and roll to package for transport, then hand deliver!! Pressure is on!!

Ohh, Hi there. How are you? Its finally time for a wrap on 2019 and I've had a thought that I've never really posted anything about who I am, outside of what I paint. Many of you know me personally and many of you only know of me through social media.
Let me introduce myself. I'm Alisha; I'm a wife, a mother, a full time employee, a colleague, a friend, a daydreamer, an optimist and sometimes, I just don't know who I am, what I am or what I'm doing! (don't we all feel like that sometimes?)
Born and raised in Australia, I moved to Dubai a few years back after we (Husband and I) quit our jobs, drove the East Coast of Aus with all our possessions, popped everything in storage, got married, set off for a couple of month of travel, before landing in the sandpit we now call home. So now, our lives are in Dubai with our baby Jax, and a group of other Expats we couldn't live without.
Creating art isn't my full-time job, nor am I sure I ever want it to be. I actually love the structureand routine and purpose I have in my day job & career. For the meantime, I love what I do and balancing all of my roles. I love the diversity and balance between it all. So, it seems I'm running out of characters to write; Ill continue with my story later.
Peace out, be happy and safe in this new 2020 ###
