Ending the week on a high knowing this is what the hard graft is all about! Happy weekend everyone 🫡

Client recomendation -

A recommendation for anyone in Al Bandar considering renovation or upgrade work.

We’ve personally used Scott at Red Kite Renovations and have been extremely impressed. He’s incredibly patient, takes the time to properly understand exactly what you want, and then executes it to a very high standard. He’s also remarkably efficient — the amount of progress he achieved on a day-to-day basis was outstanding.

Our home had already undergone an extensive, high-spec renovation, and we waited a considerable amount of time before finding someone we trusted sufficiently to undertake further work and address a number of existing issues. Scott has more than lived up to that trust and has now become our go-to contractor for anything renovation-related.

Another major advantage for us is that Scott is based here in Abu Dhabi. Our original renovation was undertaken by a Dubai-based contractor, which inevitably created logistical challenges, so having someone of Scott’s quality locally is a real benefit.

He knows the Al Bandar buildings extremely well and undertakes bathrooms, kitchens, built-in wardrobes, flooring and wider renovation and improvement works. For villas, he also undertakes external works, landscaping and swimming pools.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Popped into duconodl this morning and came back with a notebook full of ideas.

It’s the kind of showroom where you turn a corner and your brain just starts renovating, a curved stone bench with light tucked underneath, a twin-spout water wall down stacked stone, a full outdoor kitchen. I’m already visualising how some of these land in the projects I’ve got coming up.

Big thanks to the Ducon Outdoor Living team, excited to work with you on what’s next.

Fancy something like this in your own garden? Get in touch and let’s make it happen. 🤝

Not every project is a full renovation. This week, my son Mac and I had the privilege of building a custom ramp for Leo – a very good boy and a very distinguished senior Golden Retriever.

His owner, Lyndsey, simply wanted to make sure he could get around safely and comfortably in his golden years. Being trusted to help with something that means so much to a family is exactly why we love what we do.

Enjoy your new ramp, Leo. You’re an absolute legend, and it was an honour to build it for you. Watch to the end to see his happy jump!

At Red Kite, it’s never just about the job – it’s about the people (and pets!) we get to help.

Back from a great family holiday and feeling fully refreshed after the wee break ☀️

It was good to switch off for a few days, spend some quality time together, and recharge before a busy few summer ahead.

Now it’s back to site visits, inspections, and projects across Abu Dhabi — and we’re looking forward to getting stuck back in.

Hope you all had a great Eid break as well 👌

The final product 🪏

This project in Redwoods, Yas Acres was a total transformation with the addition of a 7x4 concrete pool, outdoor kitchen and bar, perimeter planting and an aluminium surface pump room with storage.
We especially love the wood effect porcelain pool deck tiles and the polished concrete counter tops.
Perfect garden for entertaining friends, still loads of space for the kids to play sports and super low maintenance.
Special thanks to Paul for the top to bottom clean before handing the garden over to the clients for Eid ✨

What a great project transforming a sand pit into a functional outdoor living space packed with greenery and designed to be properly enjoyed.

It was a pleasure working with Chris and having the trust to completely transform the garden from start to finish.

Here’s what he had to say:

“When I first met Scott, it was clear that he wanted to demonstrate real quality in his work, which was my main objective.

Scott and his team were a huge help as I moved into a newly built townhouse, providing snagging and general handyman work, with the main project being the garden. He provided several creative design ideas, always taking time to walk through the options available, ultimately finishing the job on time and within budget.

The garden exceeded expectations, and many small finishing touches were included that weren’t expected. The after-service has also been excellent. The team literally took care of everything from start to finish, providing a real rounded, end-to-end service.

Scott and his team were experienced, professional, reliable, and delivered quality work throughout. I feel lucky to have come across Scott in Abu Dhabi and will definitely be using him again. I highly recommend.”

1 year of Red Kite 🍻

What started as a small idea has grown into a business built on hard work, good people, and a genuine passion for helping homeowners manage their properties and projects properly.

Over the last year, we’ve worked on everything from snagging inspections and renovations to landscaping and indoor transformations and we’re only getting started.

A big thank you to everyone who has trusted, supported, recommended, and worked with us along the way. It genuinely means a lot.

Here’s to year 2 👊
