Etihad Rail was established in June 2009 with a mandate to manage the development, construction and operation of the UAE’s national freight and passenger railway network. The railway network will be built in stages to link the principal centres of population and industry of the UAE, as well as to form a vital part of the planned GCC railway network linking Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabi

عملاً بالمرسوم الاتحادي رقم ۲ لعام ۲۰۰۹، تم تأسيس شركة الاتحاد للقطارات لتقوم بتطوير وإنشاء وتشغيل شبكة السكك الحديدية لنقل الركاب و البضائع في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

وسيتم إنشاء شبكة السكك الحديدية على مراحل بهدف ربط أهم المراكز السكنية والصناعية في الدولة، والتي ستشكل جزءاً مهماً من شبكة السكك الحديدية المزمع إنشاؤها في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والتي ستربط بين كل من البحرين و الكويت وعمان وقطر والمملكة العربية السعودية ودولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

في يوم المرأة الإماراتية، وتحت شعار "بنظهر الأقوى والأفضل" الذي أعلنته سمو الشيخة فاطمة بنت مبارك "أم الإمارات" حفظها الله ورعاها، نحتفي في قطارات الاتحاد بابنة الإمارات، شريكة الإنجاز والطموح، التي أثبتت حضورها وكفاءتها في مختلف مجالات العمل، وتسهم اليوم في بناء منظومة نقل وطنية تقرّب المسافات، وتربط المجتمعات، وتعزز مسيرة دولة الإمارات نحو مستقبل أكثر ترابطاً وازدهاراً.




On Emirati Women’s Day, under the theme “We Emerge Stronger and Better”, announced by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation”, Etihad Rail celebrates Emirati women as partners in achievement and ambition. من الفجيرة إلى أبوظبي، رحلة جمعت معالي الدكتور سلطان بن سيف النيادي، وزير دولة لشؤون الشباب، وسعادة خالد النعيمي، مدير المؤسسة الاتحادية للشباب، بأكثر من 150 من الشباب الإماراتي، على متن قطار الاتحاد، في تجربة عرّفت الشباب عن قرب بأحد أهم المشاريع التي ترسم ملامح مستقبل الدولة وتحقق لها مزيداً من التقدّم والازدهار.



From Fujairah to Abu Dhabi, Etihad Rail welcomed H.E. Dr. Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and H.E. Khaled Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, alongside more than 150 Emirati youth for a journey aboard the Etihad Rail passenger train.

The experience offered youth a closer look at one of the UAE’s key national projects, contributing to the nation’s continued progress and prosperity.

ابتداءً من 30 نوفمبر 2026، سيصبح الوصول إلى محطة مدينة زايد ومحطة ليوا في منطقة الظفرة أسهل عبر شبكة قطارات الركاب في دولة الإمارات، بما يسهّل التنقل لسكان المنطقة وزوارها، بالتزامن مع موسم الفعاليات والمهرجانات.


Starting from 30 November 2026, travelling to Madinat Zayed and Liwa in the Al Dhafra Region will be easier than ever with the Etihad Rail passenger network. Rail is helping make travel more convenient for residents and visitors, just in time for the region’s events and festival season.
