Here's a great example of, "I know someone who can do it cheaper..."

Multiple poor quality repairs left this old farm trailer with a bit of a "broken nose".
Mismatched bits and pieces and a welding job that looks like someone tried to sneeze weld onto a joint and confidently think it will hold with the rigors of farm life...

Now we are no Red-Seal welders... but my golly we can do a better job than that.

So with a few short hours of cutting and clearing the detritus of many failed repairs... we are left with a fresh hitch and repair that should see it outlast the rest of the trailer.

Get it done right the first time...

I was even able to save the label!

For the 30 odd years of previous service, this now has another 30 ready to go

Some things are just too good to not try fix.

Take this old Gryphon from Brook Motors Huddersfield England.

Who knows which original appliance or shop tool this was sourced from, but its done its dues for this client as a polishing and buffing station motor, most likely for longer than I've been around.

The starter Cap had seen better days, and after tear down, through imperial sets of screws and bolts, thankfully it would turn out to be the only issue. Not always easy finding old parts in these parts of the hoods...

Through caked grease and decades of dust and fluff buildup, the internals were still as good as new. Bearings included... they dont make them like they used too.

Now there are plenty dedicated motor rewinders and servive places around... but not if you want a more personal touch on a restoration for something a little more sentimental, thats where Tyne Tool Time comes in...

Some "Shopgrades" Inbound...
For two long... I have been cut short...
Over this extended festive Easter weekend it was finally time to knock out some much needed upgrades.

Time to get the "new" table saw sorted with a new table and my original home engineered incremental fence system... this is the definition of bush engineering. Boer maak a plan vibes. Not so much bought... definitely more built.

Reuse, restore, repair...

First cuts coming shortly.
