This is the time of a year to enjoy Japan Day. You are cordially invited to Japan Day 2020 – Olympics Edition- at Oude Libertas Slow Market on Saturday 14 March at 9:00-15:00. Entry is Free. As Japan Day last year became an excellent activation event for the Rugby World Cup in Japan in the Western Cape, this year we will showcase the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics taking place in just few months later. There will also be a Rugby talk still on the Victory in Japan at the main stage. We have hands full of activities on Japan on this day.

Here with the demonstrations and experience workshops for this year.
Go(Japanese Chess), Koi Carp, JET(teach English and become cultural ambassadors in Japan), Judo, Koto(harp), Sumie(brush paintings), Karate, Kendo, Kyudo, Aikido, Kenjutsu, screening of an animation film, Shakuhachi(flute), Tea Ceremony, Ghibli Cosplay competition, Ikebana lessons, Origami session, Butterfly Origami workshop, Yukata experience, Photo booths Shodo(calligraphy), Bonsai Competition, Bonsan(minature gardens), Nihon-Buyo(Hanayagi ryu), Nihon-ga(traditional painting), Japanese Food Demonstration, Nihon-ken(Japanese breed dogs - Shiba Inu), Comic Con/CTIAF, JETRO seminar -doing business with Japan, JICA session- training and development initiatives in Africa, vendors of Japanese crafts, foods and ingredients, Manga comics, kitchen materials, Japanese Whisky and Gin(tbc), Kids corner-Japanese toys, Suikawari and many more.
