Every home tells a story. This one began with a conversation about what "home" meant to a family of four who wanted space for generations, independence from load-shedding, and a design that felt like it belonged in Mpumalanga—not imported from elsewhere.

Two years later, solar panels on the roof, passive cooling in the walls, and a pool that reflects the sunset. No compromises.

TectArch Director, Atu Msiska, had the pleasure of meeting with Stefan Antoni, Founding Principal at SAOTA this week. They had breakfast and conversations about architecture as an industry.

Stefan shared valuable lessons on patience, risk management, company growth and the importance of staying true to your standards even when pressured to cut corners.

It was inspiring to learn from such an established and respected architect. SAOTA really is the shining light of South African architecture—not just for their awards, but for proving that excellence and integrity can scale without compromise.
