Who says the back way into a home has to take the back seat? An odd wedge-shaped space between the garage and main house (scullery and kitchen) created the perfect hidden guest W/C. The custom wood store is the perfect focal point - that hides a dedicated service area.

Will never forget the initial client meeting. After a thorough walkthrough and discussion of needs and wants I paused in the then lounge (scroll left) and announced - ‘your new kitchen needs to move here..’ momentary perplexed faces and a flurry of explanations (we could use chimney for extraction, the plumbing and electrical is already here..) and a few questions answered, soon turned disbelief into aligned vision. It just ticked all the boxes. And now a few months later lifestyle has adapted and the new lounge, deck and kitchen make up the focal point and literal heart of the home (clichéd as it sounds 😉). Thank you Maria and Roelf for trusting my vision and well done on adding your own touches, the splashback mural gives this kitchen its unique personality.

Site re-visit. Love to see how vegetation and structure meet like this. This pool precinct was completed three years ago and has settled beautifully into nature. Concrete columns with laser cut steel screens add structure and privacy to this pool area along one sire - and create lovely shadow detail throughout the day.

steel and glass conservatory structure taking shape. This replaces the two (yes two!) old roof structures. The new much lighter space functions as a link between kitchen and scullery - but will also be an outdoor kitchen leading to an enclosed courtyard. Great team from working the millimetres it took to get this up today.Looking forward to the end result.
