As weather conditions are becoming increasingly hotter and humidity dropping a fire ban has been put in place by Bela-Bela Fire Protection Association (BBFPA)

It has been a busy weekend for A-team Surveillance Fire & Rescue

Incident 1: vegetation fire outside Bela-Bela on Friday afternoon. Local farmers and BB.E.S.T along with A-Team Surveillance Fire-Rescue assited farmers to contain the fire quickly and manged to protect several structures. No injuries reported.

Incident 2: Vegetation fire reported on Saturday afternoon. A-team Surveillance Fire-Rescue dispatched for Incident Command. Thanks to BB.E.S.T, BBFPA members and WOF team to contain the fire quickly and prevent spread to near by houses.

Incident 3: Multiple structure fires reported on Saturday evening on a plot outside of Bela-Bela. Thanks to local farmers who assisted with water, BB.E.S.T with fire suppression and a big shout out to Fireblock.

Fireblock Avert makes a big difference in fire suppression with reduced reignition. This was the effect of Fireblock. We managed to extinguish all fires with only 3 x 600L tanks. You will spot the Fireblock gel still active the next day.

People always ask me what is Fireblock ❓️

On Friday A-team Surveillance Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a fire outside of Bela-Bela and this is Fireblock🔥‼️

A vegetation fire that spread to numerous properties with alot of rubbish piles. Thanks to local farmers and BB.E.S.T for stopping the fire from further spread. A-team Surveillance Fire-Rescue assited with hot spots and mop-up operations.

One hot spot was a pile of old tyres that was burning and this is what Fireblock Avert does best.

Today A-team Surveillance Fire & Rescue needs your help.

Our current skit unit is currently in for repairs and we hope the pump has only blown some seal. Worst case scenario is that the pump is cracked and will have to be replaced.

We are in urgent need of new skid unit for our rapid response vehicle.

We plan to fix our current skid unit as a backup for A-Team Surveillance Fire-Rescue and the Bela-Bela Fire Protection Association.

Today we ask for your assistance to fund a new skid unit for A-Team Surveillance Fire-Rescue so we can continue with rapid response to fires in and around the Bela-Bela/Modimolle/ Mabula/ Rooiberg area.

We are currently borrowing a unit from one of the BBFPA members to stay operational.

26-09-2026 10H46 A-team Surveillance Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a fire in the Elandsfontein area.

Mountains terrain made it impossible to get close to the fire with vehicles.

Luckily Fireblock Avert works very well in knapsacks and the teams manged to contain the fire quickly.

With the assistance of BBFPA Arendnes Sector, RFPA Diepdrift Sector and WOF Vingerkraal team the fire was contained and mop-up operations where done in a shot period of time.

A-team Surveillance Fire & Rescue responded to a veld fire close to our base on the 03 of September 2026. Thanks to quick response of landowners the fire was quickly under control. .

Mop-up operations would have been time consuming as there was large eucalyptus trees burning. Thanks to Fireblock the trees was extinguished effortlessly.

A-team Surveillance Fire-Rescue took the right flank and used about one tank with Fireblock in.
Zebula fire team took the left flank and used about 6 bakkie sakkies to put out burning stumps.

The difference between fighting a fire and containing a fire is called Fireblock.

We placed another order for Fireblock today.
