Noah Treat, a proud Sherwood native of 35 years, was immersed in the world of residential construction from an early age. At just 9 years old, he became his dad's dependable sidekick, learning the trade firsthand as a "cheap labor" assistant while his father, a skilled sheetrock finisher, taught him the ropes. In 2007, Noah leveraged his childhood experience in construction to launch his own company, Noah Treat Construction (NTC). However, no sooner then he poured the foundation for his first spec home, the market crashed. He couldn’t have picked a more challenging time to take the leap into residential construction. In 2011, Noah pivoted to the oil and gas industry, working across North Dakota, Ohio, and Texas. For several years, he balanced two demanding worlds—spending two weeks on oil rigs and the other two weeks back home building spec houses. After nearly a decade, he decided to leave the oil and gas industry behind for good. In 2020, Noah made the bold decision to fully commit to residential construction—and he hasn’t looked back since. Noah Treat Construction is powered by a dedicated team of three exceptional employees: Eric, the field superintendent; Danielle, the administrative assistant; and Abby, the design coordinator. Together, they’ve helped the company thrive in the custom home building market, specializing in homes ranging from 4,000 to 10,000 square feet. The business’s success has been recently recognized with a feature in the February 2025 issue of AY Magazine. Noah has been married to his high school sweetheart, Monica, for 21 years. They have four dogs—Murphy, George, Tootie, and Walker—and one cat, Molly. They are currently building their dream home in the heart of Sherwood and plan to move in by August 2025.

It's hard to believe its been 25 years. I can still remember exactly where I was and what life looked like then. I had graduated high school a few months earlier and was a freshman at UCA. I was playing baseball, living away from home for the first time. Just trying to figure out college life. That Tuesday morning, I was asleep when my mom called and woke me up. I had golf "class", basically just going to the driving range. I remember trying to go about the morning like normal, but nothing was normal. Classes were canceled. Everyone was gathered around TVs because that was how we got information then. No social media, no constant updates in your pocket, just a screen and a lot of uncertainty.

At 18, I was not paying much attention to politics or world events. I was thinking about baseball, school, my friends, Monica. That day changed that. That day changed the world. It made the world feel a lot bigger, a lot more serious, and far less predictable. When I think back now, so much has changed. My mom, who called me that morning, is no longer here. One of my freshman year roommates and childhood best friend, Justin Reffner, is no longer here. Monica and I were high school sweethearts, with no clue how the world worked. Two years later we were married. This month we celebrate 23 years.

A lot of life has happened, but I still remember that feeling, the confusion, the fear, and the way Americans came together afterwards. I remember all the American flags and the overwhelming sense of pride we felt for the greatest country on earth. People came together in remarkable ways. I also think about the people I knew from high school. Some enlisted not long after, some served years later. Even now, I work side by side with my project manager, Eric Maxwell, who is an Iraq veteran. Being 18 then meant watching people my age step up in ways that were hard to grasp at the time. Most of all, I think about the thousands of people who woke up that morning expecting an ordinary Tuesday and never made it home. Twenty five years later, we still remember them. We remember their families, the heroes, and those who served in the years that followed. Never forget.

When the design calls for a little problem-solving. 👏

A 13-foot bifold window left no room for a traditional backsplash outlet, so we found a way to keep the clean look while still getting the functionality we needed.

Custom homes = custom solutions.

When the "quick question" turns into a 45-minute phone call...

Good thing Noah never minds talking through every detail. That's just part of building custom homes, and taking care of the people building them.

20 million views and 10,000 comments later… we figured you guys deserved an update.

The fix was simple: new countertop, a little faucet and sink repositioning, and now the screen drops perfectly without hitting a thing.

Mistake fixed. Problem solved. Moving on. 👏

Some upgrades are about style. Others are about peace of mind. 🌪️

A FEMA-rated safe room adds an extra layer of protection when severe weather strikes, giving your family a secure place to shelter without leaving home.

Building a custom home is about protecting what matters most.

Kitchen details we'll never get tired of.

A statement island, lighting that steals the show, and appliances that work just as hard as they look good. It's the thoughtful details that make this kitchen as functional as it is beautiful.
Which feature would you want in your dream kitchen?
