Turtle Creek Farm and Flower From combat boots to muck boots — I’m a vet growing sunflowers instead of stress. Rooted in family, hard work, and the joy of watching things grow.

At Turtle Creek Farm & Flower, we grow bold blooms with heart, humor, and a little dirt therapy.

One of the constant worries when breaking up the ground in the spring.

No turtles were harmed in the making of this post!

The first sign of life on the farm, and it’s not even a flower 🤷

Bring on the sunshine and warm these soils Mother Nature!

They keep growing, I keep picking. I love what I do.

🌻🌸 Over the next week I’ll be adding fresh sunflowers, wildflowers, and zinnias to the stand daily while I’m out in the fields pulling flowers to hang and dry for seed.

If you’re out and about, stop by anytime sunup to sunset and see what’s new on the stand that day. Every harvest is a little different—some blooms for the vase, some for the fall vibes, all grown right here.

Swing through, grab a bundle, and enjoy the last stretch of summer color before the fields fully shift into seed season 🍂✨

As the season shifts, our sunflower fields are slowly winding down, but the variety is still stunning! We’ve got everything from Mammoth to Velvet Queens, Autumn Beauty, Lemon Queens, and Italian Whites all drying by type in our little screened building. The birds are still a challenge, but it’s a sign that fall is on its way! While it’s getting a bit harder to find the perfect display sunflowers, it’s the perfect time to harvest seeds for next year. Bring on the cozy fall vibes!

🌻✨ Sunflower season is slowly winding down. While I’ll still have blooms into October, it’s starting to take a little extra hunting through the seed stock to find the best ones for the stand. That said—it’s still the perfect time for a date night at the flower bar.

Stop by tonight from 8–midnight, pick a vase, cut and arrange however creative you want, and take home your own bouquet. $10 fills a vase, or bring your own for $1 per stem.

It’s simple, quiet, and self-serve—you and your date get the whole place (unless someone else is out here doing the same thing). Drop your cash in the box and enjoy your night.

🌙 A little bit of farm charm, even as summer starts to fade.

Friday night means Date Night at Turtle Creek Farm and Flower 🌼 ✨ Open 8–midnight. Stop in, pick a vase, fill it with your choice of blooms, and enjoy a little quiet time together under the lights.

It’s simple: $10 to make your own arrangement, drop it in the box, and go enjoy the rest of your night.

Oh, and since Taylor Swift just got engaged 💍, we figured we’d celebrate too — so the price is just $10 tonight. 🎶🌻

Some of the prettiest Magic Roundabouts I’ve grown. The Magic Roundabout sunflower is a vibrant annual variety, known for its large, fluffy flower heads that display a striking mix of red, orange, and yellow hues with a contrasting center. It attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies galore, and looks amazing in the garden as well as a vase on your kitchen counter.

Just one of the many types of sunflowers growing in our fields.

🌻 Turtle Creek Farm Update 🌻

Most of you know us for our flowers, but out here we grow more than just blooms. We’ve been working on vegetables too—mostly for our own table—but every now and then we end up with more than we can eat.

Instead of letting that go to waste, I’m putting the extras out at the stand for free. Think of it as a little gift from our garden to your dinner table. 🥒🍅

The flowers will always be the main attraction 🌼—but if you stop by for a bouquet and see a basket of fresh veggies, please help yourself. My hope is that it brightens your evening and your meal.

Come grab some blooms, maybe snag a veggie or two, and enjoy the best of both worlds. 🌻🥕

🌻 Tonight I finally had the time to slow down and really appreciate the flowers before cutting for the stand. With my little guy at his mom’s for the weekend, I was able to give them all my attention — and even snap some pictures for once.

Sometimes it feels like I’m always rushing, but tonight I just got to enjoy the beauty of what’s growing here. Can’t wait to share these blooms with you all at the stand.
