Don’t settle for less.
We got called out last week to install some signs for a client, but when we arrived, we discovered a much bigger problem—the existing sign posts were not installed to spec and were improperly installed.
We’re talking about 12-foot poles with only about 1 foot actually in the ground, and they weren’t even properly leveled. To make matters worse, we were able to pull all four posts out with one hand.
There is absolutely no way these posts would have safely held up through a summer thunderstorm, let alone a hurricane with a sign mounted on them.
This is unacceptable.
When hiring a contractor, please take the time to vet them properly. The lowest price isn’t always the best deal—and if the price seems too good to be true, there may very well be a reason.
Before you hire, make sure to:
✅ Check that they are licensed
✅ Verify they are properly insured
✅ Read their reviews
✅ Look at their previous work
✅ Check their reputation in the community
✅ Bonus: See if they are a member of the local Chamber of Commerce
A reputable contractor should have no problem standing behind their work.
Do it right the first time. Safety and quality should never be sacrificed just to save a few dollars.
