Grass is greening up fast across the UK, and it's prime time for that first cut of 2026! Quick pro tips: Set mower blades high (take just the top 1/3) to avoid stress and encourage thickening.
Mow in alternating directions for those classic crisp stripes — a roller helps get that Wimbledon look!
Dead/bald patches? Rake out debris, loosen the soil, top-dress with compost, overseed, and water gently. They'll fill in nicely with spring growth.

I went in and completely stripped out the old patchy grass, Levelled the ground properly (no more bumps or puddles!), then reseeded with fresh high quality seed.
